My parents are going on a cruise and are leaving tomorrow. I was wondering what the chances of my dad coming up with some authentic isoms for me. With all the counterfeit out there is there a simple way I can tell him(doesn't smoke at all) that will help identify the real deal?

a great chance, just make sure they shop at la casa del habano (many stores on many dif islands) and i have never had any trouble bringing back any cigars, even after 9/11.

Tell him to shop for them ONLY at 'La Casa del Habanos' ...

... they have one that I know of for sure at the Graycliff Hotel in Nassau, Bahamas.

The international chain of franchises, la Casa del Habano, joins more than 90 specialized stores where both beginners and connoisseurs enjoy the art of tasting habanos ... and find the adequate place that not only guarantees an original product kept in perfect conservation conditions, but have become the usual meeting and reference space for cigar lovers.

The key factor for the development of this international chain of franchises could be found in the support given by Habanos S.A. to its franchisees ... besides the recognition awarded by the most exigent smokers referred to the personalized service they provide, the assortment of cigar brands and sizes, the unique identification image and the professional knowledge of the product as well.

... it's the only guarantee you have that they will be authentic.

Went on a cruise to Bermuda this summer. Found some honest stores and bought some ISOM smokes. Bought a Partagas Luci for $20, Monte #2 for $13 and some others. I saw Cohiba Esplendido's for as high as $36. Too rich for my blood!! Had no problem bringing them back. Just handed my customs slip and they said "Welcome"... That's it.

Outstanding. Thanks a ton guys. I figure while he's there he can grab me a couple. I'll read in the other threads what's good to buy. Again, thanks.

Lowman I was at bermuda over the summer as well. I had a few Montes, and I downed the cash for a Cohiba. For almost half the price I liked the montes much better. Saved all my labels too(unknowingly).
