Had the Oliva "O" (blue) vsg wrapper?? yesterday. I was impressed. Nice tight roll, even burn. (I love this wrapper and the billows of smoke it puts out!! Taste is solid, not the best but very solid. I can't explain what was missing, not much I can assure you. I will add these to my humidor for sure. What do these go for? I have not even checked the site yet. I will try your Bucanero tomorrow. You guys have raved over this cigar like it was rolled in cocaine. BTW perfect humidity, I let them sit in this box a few more days.

The Oliva 'O' Maduro is one good smoke, and I can tell you exactly what was missing ...

... age. Even though the wrapper is aged five years, I'm not so sure about the filler and binder, or the cigar as a whole.

I could tell from the first one I smoked out of the box, that it was fairly young. Maybe the fact that they were on backorder 3 to 4 months before I got them, should had told me that they probably would not be aged very long.

I have a few of the Omni (Rothschild/Robusto size) Maduro, that I've had for over a year now ... and have come into their prime. I had one the other day, and noticed there is a big difference between the two.

... maybe I need to send you a couple of those to try out, hehehe!

Which one of the Buc's are you going to burn down tomorrow night? The 'el Capitan Reserva Maduro' or the 'The Windjammer' Blend?

Remember ... the latter is pretty mild ... so you may want to fire it up on the way to work (that is, if you have a substantial drive) ...

I really like the O's. But I've noticed the same thing lately. They need some rest. I think that Slim is right. They are rushing them to meet the demand.
It's good to see you posting again Wany.
