My mind is aglow with whirling transient nodes of thought careening through a cosmic vapor of invention.

Great DVD!!

why don't i see Magnafide, usahog, DrMaddVibe, and some others who not only don't agree with me on political issues, but do so in a less than kind way.

don't you guys laugh. is dumb and dumber your height of comedy. what about the marx bros or is the 3 stooges a reach.

just curious.

I've got almost 10 full gallons of homebrew on tap and 10 more in reserve.I'll have to stop at the local
"beverages and more" for some tequila on the way home.

Bring it on!

I agree with JJ. Young FrankenSTEEN was better than Blazing Saddles. Both are great films that bookend The History of the World.

ric, I know you're keeping score...The Marx Bros.(not to be confused with that idiot Karl Marx!!)made some of the best comedy EVER! Every one of those films are great hallmarks to sarcasm. Sometimes it's the little mumblings that get the loudest laughs outta me. I enjoy Buster Keaton, Laurel & Hardy, The 3 Stooges. I like the OLD Looney Tunes cartoons too. Some of Woody Allen's early films are good, but I prefer his stand-up act any day! Dumb & Dumber really is a funny movie too. I also enjoyed Office Space and Real Men. Heck, I'm a sap for some early Cary Grant movies too. I usually get my "fix" from AMC or TMC for those classic movies. I'm convinced that Hollywood has run out of original ideas, and with the selection of older films out there...well, let's just say it took the Lord of the Rings to get me back into a movie theater.

MR DRMADVIBE

i am so glad we can laugh at the same things. i was beginning to wonder where your head was at. turns out it is right where it should be.

i wouldn't dispute frankensteen as better or worse than blazing saddles. both at the top.

i don't have any videos of any funny movies, but i do have some oldies but goodies

phar lapp, casey's shadow, boy's in company c, quantum leap, the leap home(my favorite), some have gun will travel episodes, easy rider, alice's restaurant, beatles yellow submarine, and i did find one comedy, eddie izzard. he is one of the brilliant funny one's around, but i don't know if you could handle him, he is a transvestite.

you or any of the guys are welcome to copies of anything i have. tapes are dirt cheap and i have a permanent setup to dup tapes. just tell me where to send them. send snailer to [email protected].

i promise i won't come to anyone's house to clean their clock. jjohnson28 are you listening?

RICKAMAVEN - I was refering to the correct quotation of the Blazing Saddle sceen in which Cleavon Little, the new sheriff of Rock Ridge, offers to whip out his "orders"...didn't mean to confuse.

And yes, I am the imposter, as named by the real JJ (jjohnson28)

I have been called JJ since birth (among other less savory things) and have just been in the habit of signing off as such.

Here's one of the sites I've been going too since it started and still use it:

My name is Raymond J. Johnson, Jr. But ya doesn't have to call me Ray. No, you can call me Ray; you can call me Jay. You can call me Ray Jay, or you can call me R Jay. You can call me Ray Jay J; or you can call me Ray Jay Junior. But ya doesn't have to call me Johnson.

Something like that, right Rick?
