Hello, can anyone suggest a cigar that has an earthy taste like the Pinar series B line? Thanx

IMO the mayorgas and the la rosa especials have a very earthy taste, both IMO are pretty good value smokes.

Check out almost anything from Nicaragua. I find most cigars from Nic. have an earthy nutty flavor like the Padrons.

Ditto on the Nicaraguan remark. Camacho is great for the earthy flavor, as is Joya de Nicaragua. Both pack a flavor and nicotine punch, so eat first. (Learned that the hard way).

bury a half dozen, cello on, in the yard for a week.

they will be earthy. many variations on this theme, for example clinton had his own ideas about taste.

Rick

Any concern about worms? Or is that part of the beauty of burying them?

Charlie, that's where the "roasted meat" flavor comes from.

This might seem like a dumb question but humor me:
What's earthy taste like and why would you want to smoke it?

excellent question, along with leathery, and sugar and spice and everything nice, a la CA, the mag, not the state.

I would recommend either the Vega Telanga Tercio or the Hoyo Dark Sumatra. Both have a very earthy and almost pungent taste.

I disagree with the Nicaraguan recommendation, I have found Nicaraguan tobaccy to have a rather dark/semi-sweet flavor. But depending on the blending almost any cigar can have a earthy taste.

Not to threadjack, but i had a L.F. Dominicana Ligero the other day, and WOOHOO, a damn fine smoke it was!

If you want an earthy taste in your cigar, then you should smoke something from Cuba. Nearly every vitola made in Havana has a rich earthy taste.

efm: think of it as a Zen thing..you know one with nature and all. I would think earthy flavor is maybe grass, bark, vegetable and maybe yes! even dirt(come on, ya never ate dirt?!)...sounds ridiculous right!

Barry: I agree with you about Nicaragua..maybe the Natural line from Drew Estate - specifically the Aqua Systems green line: juicy lucy, elixir 5/50 etc.

just a very humble opinion!
