Inasmuch as I cannot access my e-mail until this evening, questions should be posted here. I will respond as my work schedule permits

Whoever put this together should get something for it. I suggest those participating give an extra smoke and those that help put this together (not the one person doing any authentication and validation) should split the take on admission. Thoughts?

I will ask the stupid questions Steve! Am I correct in assuming that the chosen square number does NOT correspond to the actual number assigned to it? Is the winner the one whose square has the correct point total for quarters and the final score? How do the teams figure into the grid as you mentioned previously? That should keep you busy awhile!

You are correct on all counts ...

A neutral party has been asked to flip a coin to determine which team will be listed across and which one down, then to pick the #'s one through 10 at random and send me and two others in the group, the teams and the two sequences in an e-mail on Friday evening ... the cc e-mails will serve to authenticate the neutrality and a copy of that note along with a copy of the filled in grid will be sent to each participant on Friday eve or on Sat morning ...

I'll decide later whether it was fun or too much work ... LOL ... right now, I'd like to see the picks roll a bit smoother and quicker ...

Steve. I emailed you the other day telling you I was intrested. I have no idea where I am on the list.
I have to go out of town and I don't want to hold you up so when and if I get to pick just give me 3 # any where.

If the numbers in the sqaures represent total points, I don't understand what the teams listed around the grid have to do with anything. It's total points. Who has what score doesn't matter. Right?

the numbers assigned to the squares right now is for purposes of picking ONLY

the numbers representing the scores will be randomly assigned on Friday night ...

IMO, you are correct that where you are on the board doesn't really matter if points are to be assigned later, but some of the guys felt position was important to them, so we're trying to make everyone as happy as possible under the circumstances ...
