How long will it take for a cigar to take on the flavor characteristics of the one stored next to it? Will a piece of cedar veneer between the cigars prevent flavor marriage, or does it need to be something that won't breathe.

The exchange begins immediately, but not sure how long before you will notice.
If you do not want to influence taste between different cigars, cedar stips will help and it also lends to the arguement for keeping the cello on.
Not trying to start the great debate with that comment.

There is probably some truth to that, but I personally don't leave mine together long enough to tell; I like to take them out and play with them too much and move them around so they can be with their other friends they've not seen in a while...I do keep cammies together, OpusX together, sungrowns together but not with VSGs, PAMs n PANs together, any maduros together, etc.

Marrying of tobaccos generally refers to the tobacco leaves blended into one cigar as it ages. I imagine it could hapen with cigars that were touching each other, but would probably take years to be perceptable. Now if you have flavored cigars....

I'm not prejudice, I do not separate my Natties from my Maddies. They're all one big happy family!! If some want to run around naked while others are clothed, that's fine with me also.

If I have more than say 6 or 8 of one smoke I divide them in my humi with a cedar divider. I have one humi for the ones and two-see's that are all mingled together.. For my more expensive sticks I keep separated.. what can I say.. it's a sickness...

Oh- buy the way.. mine sleep naked!

So ... more or less... if I smoke 'em before I die, ...they should be ok...lol. So if my La Perla is laying against a Mayorga, np? But if it's something with a oily wrapper, is it more likely to impart it's flavor on what it touches?
P.S. Smoker06, No flavors here.

cigars marrying? Is that legal? In what states is it recognized? If cigars marry and you leave them in the dark long enough will you have little cigars later? If so, what do you feed them to get them to grown up size? Finally, is the marrying done by an ordained minister or will a nonsecular ceremony do.

(what kinda bachelor party do you throw a cigar that is about to get married?)
