Since my wife doesn't like me to smoke in the house, she has forced me outside when I get the desire to light up. Problem is, the weather in the NE has been brutally cold.. I think one of my balls actually froze to my leg. Anyway, no matter where I'd try to "sneak" one, she would sniff it out and rag on me w/out mercy. Tried the basement ..no luck. Bathroom with the exhaust fan on...nope..Same thing in the kitchen. Ahhh..but the fireplace. I figured if I didn't smell smoke when I burned my wedding photos, not even Tucan Sam will get a whiff of my cigar. Needless to say, I'm warm and cozy with a mouthful of smoke. As for my wife, has found something else to bitch about...like my stack of cigar catalogs next to the crapper.

Clearly time for a new wife! Seriously, there was a similar topic post on alt.smokers.cigars on the Usenet newsgroups recently. The steps taken were not extreme, but it did take a good three or four days to eliminate all odor. What's down in the basement, of all places, that would require her extended (more than three or four breaths worth) presence?

The basement is where she hides all her witchcraft stuff. Human hair, snake eggs, goats blood, and lots of jars with dead insects in them. I also have seen stacks of autopsy books and least two boxes of red yarn. Don't ask me what the hell goes on down there, but it kind of freaks me out.

I know how you feel EZE...it's been brutal here in NY also. I actually just had my basement renovated into my little cigar smoking lounge, complete with smoke eater candles and air purifiers, but the wife still complains about the cigar smoke....now thinking about installing an exhaust fan in the basement, but I know that will not solve the problem completely til the warmer weather arrives.
She also hates the cigar mags in any of the bathrooms, but I don't complain about her mags in the crapper. Just can't win.
How many more months of winter?

I've been thinking of building a little shed in the yard ... you know the kind that will serve as a potting shed or a tool shed or whatever .... I think I'm gonna call it the Herf Hut .... my own little home away from home, a sanctuary where I can smoke in peace and no one will care what the damn place smells like ... gotta wait for better weather to build it tho ... after I get it done, maybe I can have you guys over .... giess maybe I better build a pretty BIG herf hut if there'll be many of you accepting that invitation ... LOL

Man oh man, I agree it's been getting cold outside when I leave the house to light up. Hell, yesterday I had to put on a sweater over my t-shirt. It dropped down to 65. BRRRR.

This weather is seriously cramping my consumption. Even when I do have a smoke, I'm freezing my butt off and I really don't enjoy it. You can be sure I'm not smoking any high end smokes until spring or when I'm inside.

I celebrated the 16 degree warmup with TWO smokes last night.

My wife gave me the OK to build a walk-in humi in the basement (construction will begin within a year or so..lots of research to collect), but because its'a relatively new home, I won't be smoking in the house...I am also relegated to the garage (I need a heater desperately!)....Sucks
BTW, Eze, your posts on this thread (especially about your ball freezing to your leg and the witchcraft supplies) made me laugh so hard I almost sprayed water that I was drinking on the monitor...LMFAO!!
