The article I got is about a Brazilian cigar named Aquarius. This is an unblended cigar, likened to single malt scotch. Made of Cuban seed Brazilian tobacco. Said to be kind of peppery. I will be happy to try one!

I found this but don't know if it is related. Scroll down the page:

It came from the 2000 RTDA.

Thanks for the additional reference. This cigar should attract anyone who enjoys Montecristos. I thought the most interesting part of the NYTimes article was Mr Menendez's comments on cigar marketing and economics. BTW, you need to register with the NYTimes site to read the article. Registration is free. Pass on their offer of daily emails.

I've had the aquarius before. Seems like a while back
I inquired on another board about these and someone sent me 5 of them. Another ho-hum cigar not worth the money they were asking IMHO!

I remember inquiring about these on another board and some nice feller sent me 5 various sizes. Appearance: They were nice looking with a dark brown wrapper. Taste: another ho hum cigar (not worth what they were asking IMHO!)
