Soleares Coronas - An unknown smoke to me. What does everyone think about this one. I see it on the blowout special.

A pile of crap at any price is still a pile of crap. Seems like Cbid got stuck with 1300 boxes of crap. Are they good? I guess that's a crapshoot. However, you don't have to eat crap to know you don't like the taste of it.

I say if you can get something cheap enough, go for it anyway.
I picked up a bundle of those Mejido Toros... You know, the ones that were described as tasting just as good as grass clippings...
For .20 apiece, I think I spent my money well. :)

I don't know if I agree with that Philosophy - some cigars no matter how much (OR less) I paid for them simply don't taste good - to me!
But I say if I can save on the accessories then I can afford to pay "A Little More" for better tasting gars. As always this is My Opinion - Only!

B

I think I'm going to go in on a couple boxes of these...Ya never know!...I like Nicaraguan and Costa Rican tobacco...At the very least I can just throw them in the Coolerdor and check on them in a year or more..Worth a shot

I bought a box of Soleares Robustos a while back.
Here's my review: They're horrible.
Buy what the heck, if you get a really good price on them at least you'll have cost-effective, horrible cigars.

Mr.Mean
just finishing the 200 leyendos/acids. circa 1999 if i remember correctly. JJ will remember.
starting soon on the 100 or so el gozo's/acids.
i keep the finished product in an el rey or something glass top humi. it is the only humi that won't maintain proper humidity. i have added a dish of water to try to get the humidity over 60%.

They will make good "neighbor" or "I really like cigars" (the guy who never buys any) giveaways!

Naw. Too small for me.If I wanted to smoke cigarillos, I'd pick some up.
Anything below a 50 ring is a waste of time to me.
Plus, a guy my size would look silly with a little stick sticking outta my yap!
Hey that's why we have so much to choose from here at CB. Some for you and some for me. Enjoy anyway Bros'.
SIZE IS EVERYTHING!!! (right marla?) tee hee.

Tried one a while back. It was OK. Better than a sharp stick in the eye, anyway. I'm gonna pass on these because I know that 2 years from now I'll wish that that I had. For once I'm going to interupt my "repeating history" cycle and save my valuable humi space for cigars that I look forward to smoking.

in addition to my formula for "cigars by the foot" i will add "Better than a sharp stick in the eye" as an additional consideration.

I picked up a bundle of those "Original Cubans" for $16 and was pleasantly surprised. You never know.
I also picked up a box of these Cabanas Habanas for $31 and they were terrible. Unknown cigars are like a box of chocolates.
