Been almost two years since I seen my Son,Was supposed to come home on leave Christmas 2001,Sent to Pakastan due to 9-11,Was supposed to be home on leave Christmas 2002,Posponed due to situation with Iraq,Got a suprise 2 weeks ago,My Son and new Daughter in law showed up for a weeks stay.Left to right,Mike(arkie_72015)Karen(Daughter in law,First time to get to meet her,grew up in NYC,super sweet gal,Had to change my opinion of yankees(well some of them:)Rich,been in Navy 11 years,Rate Master At Arms,Next Promotion Ican call him Chief.Becky (my wife,what better can I say of her than she has put up with me over 20 years.

Mike : Sure is a fine looking family you have there. Rich will tell you in peacetime Sailors & Marines mix as well as gasoline & water, he he ( Marine active duty 61 - 65 ). Put a dozen Sailors & a dozen Marines in an enlisted mans club add some wiskey and beer and when the dust settles your lucky if the club is still standing. However in wartime against a common enemy Sailors and Marines stand shoulder to shoulder. Rich say hello to your mates for me and to the Marines assigned to your ship, my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Blue skies and may the wind be at your back. JonR
