HD, #227 and most of the above: That's the biggest load of crap I've heard in a long time, and I hear a lot of crap. adroomi isn't the only one here to be against the war. Why aren't the others "hated"? It all comes down to his character.

My take, (not that anyone probably cares but here it is anyway)

Adroomi probably is mostly what he says he is, I think he is bright, and probably successful. My OPINION is he gets lots of heat because he love sticking it in everyone face.. Plus when he gets defensive he loves to tell how unsucsessful you are or what an idiot you are. Of course he has no idea whether you are successful or an idiot.. Just his opinion, plus one persons success is a relative term.

Anyway just my 2 cents... (of course I have only been here about 8 months so I know the whole history)

Topper - the only thing I'd like to point out is that Adroomi only posts when he is drawn in.

I, personally, feel that there seems to be a mob like attitude here. One person feels the need to push the envelope with him, and all kinds of idiots come out of the woodwork to lynch him at the same time.

I have a particular problem with people posting anyone else's name. In this day and age, posting a full name can have major repercussions. I had a situation when I was going through interviews, an ex had my name referenced on a website. At that time, googling my name went straight to that site. While it was not particularly incriminating, it was not the sort of image I wanted projected to potential employers. Every interview I was on, I had to wonder whether the HR person had seen that website or not (and they usually do google these days).

You don't know what anyone else on this site is doing with their life. So posting any traceable information is particularly irresponsible. How do we know that adroomi doesn't have to meet with potential clients? I always google a name if I'm going to try to meet with some potential business partners. You want to find out as much as you can. Now, if potential clients find a site accusing him of making up his past and sleeping with hookers that sort of crap can mess up a meeting. All because you have a bug up your butt and want to make yourself feel better.

Google mine, and good luck! There's a somewhat famous English artist with my name. If you get through the pages and pages and pages of crap dedicated to him, you'll find my photos I took for a local newspaper and 3 letters to the Editor that got published. I'm 3 for 3 on those. But, even I got tired of going through all those pages and narrowed the search. But you have to know more about me to get to that narrow search ;)

Drathaar, so just because your name doesn't direct to you easily, its okay?

My name pops up immediately, as does my father who shares my name. That's pretty much it. I don't know what adroomi's name does. The bottom line is that you don't know squat about anyone else or their situation.

Just because you don't show up on a google search, and you don't find yourself in a situation where public information on you needs to be relatively clean doesn't give you the right to jeapordize others.

True, but he also loves to jump in and say something to invoke a response.. He obviously enjoys the controversy..

Quite frankly all his faults aside (not that I or anyone has any faults) he certainly makes this place interesting.. Just look at all the posts on any thread with his name on it!!

I do show up on a Google search. But since I live a clean life I have nothing to hide. Now, my letters do take the Right side, so being in this liberal wasteland, it might affect someone's opinion of me. But I don't care. If I was worried about what people thought of my opinions, I'd keep them to myself.

Is it ok to out a name? Not really, but it was done many months ago by the guy who found adroomi on a website...working at the Help desk, not quite the Board of Directors. Everyone saw it, so its no secret anymore. But just so you and others know, I've never once called him by his real name on this board.

In defense of myself, I haven't posted a photo of myself with a female companion for quite some time. I got a little tired of the comments made about my friends.

The last photo I posted as such was taken from the top of the highest outdoor bar in the world that Ryan pinged and asked me about. I was impressed with the place, so three days later I made the 7 hour flight to Bangkok, went to the bar, and shot a photo. I then posted it. So yes...it was definately staged.

Us help desk clerks have a tendency to take 3 days off, fly halfway across the world, and do photo shoots for discount cigar forums to make up for the lack of excitement in our lives, and to try to get over this sense of being sad little, pathetic, men. Oh..that and the fact that we never really were in the service.
