I am in the process of trying to get a cigar herf together. I was thinking it would be a good idea to have it in Bethlehem. I have contacted CI . We can check out the store and grab something to eat at the Bethlehem Brew Works. I would like to try to get something together 1st or 2nd Saturday in March.

What I need to know is their anyone interested in something like this? If there is anyone else with different ideas , please let me know. rope.man at verizon.net

It's a little bit of a haul for me, but do-able. Probably 1-1/2 to 2 hr. ride. I went to the Beth. Brew Works once for a holiday party that was hosted by a co-worker stationed in that area. A lot of good local brews. Food pretty good too. They have a back room which is kinda private but don't know if cigar smoking is allowed back there since it is near dining area.
I'm in, if the response is good and a lot of herfers will show. Haven't been to one yet. Looking forward to meeting some of the guys.

Sounds good to me. I can most likely make it. Probably have a few friends that would make it also. The tour at CI also sounds nice....I'll be wearing my large overcoat.

Just got driving instructions from Mapquest. From my house to CI is 78.25 miles and approx. 1 hr, 26 min. This is VERY Do-Able for me.
Although... I may have to bring a non-drinking (cigar smoking) friend alond with me. It may be a looooong ride home after the Beth. Brew Works!!!
Hope this happens!!

What do you mean "if".

I'm about 1 1/2 hours away also. Gotta find some sober friends.

Once we get a date figured out we will try to get the manager or owner to open up the downstairs early for us.

I saw mentioned at other herfs that sponsors donated stuff('ars and accessories) Is that possible? Does anyone have contacts? This is my first herf. I don't know what goes on. Please forgive me... I'm a "herf virgin"..

I just wanna smoke and drink my A$$ off !!! :o)

The downstairs of the Brew Works has pool tables and a bar that only opens at night. I know the one manager and a friend knows the owner. More then likely some arrangement can be made if they are aware that a bunch of guys are coming to hang out and spend $$$.

OK, guys I have been in contact with CI. They are happy with us coming up there. Lets set a date of 3/1/03 for this to happen. I can then definately give CI a date to work with. There hours on Sat are 11 am to 8 pm. I was thinking maybe meeting at CI aroun 2 or 3 pm. Let me know what you think about this?

arbn2/505 if you can work something out with the brew works it would be great. This would save me lots of time. Please email me at rope.man at verizon.net with an questions. So far I count roughly about a dozen guys. This may go up or down once we near the date. You can let the brew works know this. Maybe they want a certain # of guys to open up the downstairs. Just let me know. Thanks for the help.

I am really starting to look forward to this.

Once this gets organized, could you please post the schedule of events in one post (ie: CigarsInternational tour at X o'clock and meet at Breworks atY o'clock). Better yet, start a new thread with that as the first post. While I'm willing to travel, I don't like having to scroll down through a thread trying to figure out the whens and wheres. Thanks.

The earlier the better for me. I won't mind making a full day of it. Meeting 12-1, 1-2, 2-3 is all fine with me.

Looking forward to it!!

I will be talking to the one manager Wednesday night about arrangements for us at the BrewWorks. If we can't get the downstairs open early i will have to reserve some tables. From what it looks like 12-15 people will be attending according to ropeman. I or rope will post the details by Friday 2/14.

I'm looking to get 1 or two others to come with me. Hopefully they will do the driving. If not, I'll still come alone. Just gotta watch my drinking at the BBW. :o(

I'll be away 2/15-2/23, no access to computer. Just keep me in mind with the plans.

Hey guys,
I have a friend that is thinking of going. He wants to know what it will cost him... I told him there is NO cost. Just pay your own way for smokes, eats and drinks. A herf is just an organized get together.

That's right, is it??

Don't know about the cost. Sounds like just the tabs and smokes to me. I don't think there are any hookers in Bethlehem so that should bring down the cost some.

Glad to see this might happen. Looking good for me if the friggin snow stops!
