I just discovered there's a Perdomo rolling event coming to my town this Friday. I've never been to one of these, so what can I expect?

I sure do like those "Perdomo fresh-rolled wheels" that are sold here. Mmmm.

Expect a short old Cuban cigar roller telling the shop owner how to set up his rolling desk, visiting with everyone that is there and the Perdomo Rep. telling you his cigars are the best.

Attended a CAO rolling event here. Even got to meet Tim. A must see.

Santyth, what town might that be? I went to a Perdomo event once. Met their director of Marketing? Don't recal his name, but he was a nice fellow. That's where I got turned on to the P2 Madie (I now have 2 boxes!).

Snellville, GA.

I checked the Perdomo site just in time for a bunch of events, it seems. Including the Cigar Aficionado "Big Smoke" at the Mariott Marquis, which Nick Perdomo Jr. Will be attending. Tickets for that are $150 though, so I don't think I shall be going.

I've looked at the Perdomo freesh rolled wheels. Can you give a tad more info about the cigar, and why you like it?

We had a Perdomo rolling event here a little while back. That's where I had the pleasure of meeting Pentz8. It was really neat watching the old guy make the cigars. A guy who went with me bought a box of Perdomo Reserve cigars, and they gave him 25 fresh rolled sticks. He didn't want them, so they are sitting in the bottom of my humi for about another 6 months or so, so they can get better. They are pretty good fresh rolled, but if they aren't smoked within the first week or so, they need to sit.

I think they just have a unique flavor to them. Very smooth and a little bit sweet, and they make a lot of smoke. That's my newbie opinion, anyway.

And of course, they're a great value.

The Wheels are pretty good. I bought 10, smoked one while fishing. Lasted a real long time. Lots of smoke. Very tasty with something I think was a hint of greenness to them. I set the rest back at the recommendation of this forum. 4 months on them now.

Back to the thread. If anyone hears about any Ca. rolling events please post it. I haven't seen any on the other web sites.
