Haven't been to your lovely state for quite a while but have business in Rancho Mirage next month. Does anyone have specific information on where cigars would be allowed. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
John

pretty much any place there is air, you can't smoke cigars.

Rick I'm LMAO! Unfortunately Rick is not exagerating (sp?), but the one good thing about the area you will be in, is that there are some real nice cigar shops in the Palm Springs/Desert area (if my memory serves me right). I'm sorry I can't give you specifics, but I'm sure some current So Cal residents on this forum will give you some more info. Good luck.

Places with Patios might allow smoking! It is so goofy out here that you never can tell who will or will not object to cigar smoke! You can smoke on the golf courses, as most golfers in Palm Springs are will do!

The golf course thing is a good idea. I've never been to one that doesnt allow smoking. They usually have a nice restaurant and outdoor patio areas where you can eat, smoke and drink! Most golf courses sell stogies too. Overpriced though!

Examples of pricing at Pelican Hills:
Hoyo de Monterrey Robusto 10.00
Macanudo Hyde Park 10.00
Patagas 12.00

Take your own smokes to any Golf Course in California!

You can have a nice dinner or a cocktail at Sullivans Steakhouse and smoke a cigar on the patio. The restaurant is in Palm Springs

Have only visited that area once since taking up the leaf...but smoked numerous cigars at several different hotel restaurant/club patios otherwise known as the smoking section here in California.

Don't worry, just pray it isn't raining when you visit ;)

You might want to check with the Palm Springs COC or tourism site (or Rancho Mirage's if they have one)...those city's run into each other and it's hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.

Sounds like the smoking opportunities are about what I expected.... (off topic) should have also asked about good golf courses to play while I'm there. Hope to get in about 3 afternoons of golf. Not really interested in the most expensive but just good, solid, challenging courses.

Well, I live in So Cal and ALL rest., bars, pubs, movies and county buildings you CAN NOT smoke inside. Most have outside seating/eating areas where you can. Some smoke shops have smoking rooms.

Have fun in our lovely state, well at least in So Cal.

Later and Smoke Up Johnny !!!
