I went to a store last night to pick up some Opus X for a trade and I have to mention his selection. This is a store that I have been in before but never really noticed the quantity and selection of Fuente's this guy has. He has All the Hemmingways (including BTL), Don Carlos, Sun Growns, Anejo, etc. He MUST have a good relationship with the Fuente family!!

I bought a Anejo Reserve Xtra Viejo Shark #77 for $13. Is that a good price? The 'gar looks REAL yummy. It is a round to square Torp.
Bought a Chateau Fuente Sun Grown for $8.
Bought a Aroma de Cuba for $5.50. Are these good?
I saw Hemmi BTL for $18 but did not buy it. It looked like a striped Short Story. Is that price in reason? Also saw maduro Hemmi's and a Don Carlos Cuban Beli for $6.
Is this kind of selection normal??
This is the BEST selection I've ever seen.

Also has a lot of Ashton VSG's.

My tobacconist seems to have a similar connection. He has tons and tons of Ashton VSG, Fuente, and Padron Ann. Serie. I wish I was richer.

I love the Aroma de Cuba. I sadly traded away a few I had sitting, and now need to buy a bunch more. They are a good cigar for the money. (My tobacconist cost about $1 less than your list, so that may be a tax difference. Pretty much the same prices.)

I've had the Between The Linez before, nothing to write home about ESPECIALLY AT THAT PRICE!! I think it's just the novelty of that zebra look. That an-yay-hole torp at 13 I would consider a good deal for a retailer.

This store has limits of what you can buy. Can only buy 2 opus x per day reguardless of size, 1 anejo of each size p/d, 2 chateau fuente sun growns p/d, 1 ashto vsg, etc.
I guess that is how he controls his stock.

My local sells VSG by the box. Enchantment, for example, about $12.45 ea. including tax, about the same price they are available from you-know-who including shipping (but only 2 per week).

Wow, I'm jealous. Very little Fuente products make it West of the Mississippi. I'm convinced local shops keep half of what they get...(sour grapes...)
All in all, I'm able to keep myself in Opus, PAMs, and VSG even if I have to go online to get it. Lately, the only high dollar item I get from local shops are PAMs.

This thread is killing me....

I simply cannot find Fuente here in Germany - Period! If I do the prices are far more than I am willing to pay - I almost always opt for the lower end Cubans instead... =)
