I'm envious!! I bet you could have bought and built 20-40 coolerdors for the same price, but they'd never look that good.

Nice humi!!

Wow! I didn't imagine it to be that nice. Your local guy must have an ugly daughter he expects you to marry!

Low,

Come on Down....Or should I say over. We will smoke a few from the top row- the Havana's...

I love this thing and the "Absolute Best Thing" about it is that I did not pay a penny for it...

All I did was a build a small website for the local tobacconist here and he "Gave" me the humi.....

Still cannot believe it!

Regards,

B

Oh, yeah...now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!

I'd start at the top, right around the middle...and then slowly work my way aaallll the way down the center...

After catching my breath, I'd then start my way back up the sides until I reached the top again...

And when I was fininshed...I'd have to wipe off the glass and shelves so you could fill it back up again!

Very nice...I don't think you'll have a hard time keeping it, ah, humidified!

That is one beautiful piece of workmanship! Great cigar's and looks like it would be fun to sample the wares!

I am jealous! But wow, it is great to see that some of us can get away with such a thing!

Give us some close ups of the workmanship.
I'd like to see how you did the hinges, lock, and how good of a seal you acheived. I may want to make one myself.

BTW, Looks great.

WOW. Nobody ever wants to trade ME anything good like that for computer work...

I have to admit, I'd be really jealous if I hadn't received your half of our trade today, B.

...OK, so I'm jealous anyway. Sue me. ;)

Nice Humi! what is it made of..looks to be cherry outside but hard to tell. And after E's description, there's not a dry cigar in the bunch..lol Nice Humi and thanks E for that quite entertaining and very rememberable description. I'll never look at another humidor the same again!

Question, when it's warm in the summer, (90 outside?) how do you keep the sticks from going above 75? isn't above 75 a bad thing for bugs? Does the whole house have to stay cool?

Robby - My plan is to keep the room where the humi is located around 70 all year. I have noticed that the temperature inside the humidor is not the same as the temperature in the room. It is much cooler in the humi...Thank goodness for that because 70 seems cold to me in the winter time.

Since Slim is back I guess I can't post a link to a competitors website. I will send you an email about it. Yes, I am afraid of them, Very Afraid. =)

penzt8,

Humi system...Hmmmm - I got E-Chick's vivids descriptions that is about all I would Ever Need....=)

Actually, it came with an electronic humi system which I am having problems regulating...Can't keep the door closed long enough. Ha. Ha.

However, I have added additional wet foam to help establish the 70% humidification rate.

RknRmnd, We believe that it is oak outside and know that it is 100% Spanish cedar inside. What a great smelling wood..As we all know.

Yeah, As I scroll down the comments I stop and read E-Chicks comments and I love it every time =)

RDC - I can only dream of making such a thing. It is way above my head. I will try to post some closeups of the hinges later in the day.

Wow, that's nice! I'm in the process of trying to buy one (almost identical) for cheap from a Gourmet Deli that's phased out selling cigars....we'll see.

Interested in knowing how much one of these go for. The person that gave it to me would not tell me the retail price.
