Been awhile since I was in Sin City - anyone recommend (a) a good cigar shop (b) one hotel or another that stocks a decent - and not too overpriced - cabinet? Just wondering.

best to all,
Egg

Like everything else, It's much cheaper the farther away from the strip you are.

B) Wont' find one, all shops within the Hotels are OVERPRICED $50 for an Opus X XXX.

A) Try Don Pablos,on the strip. Only Box sales but nice deals. Cuban Rollers, very good. Buy the Maduros.

I was in Vegas last week. Nice Davidoff store in the Venetian, but very pricey. Saw an opus x in a coffin box for $100. I took a pass.

The folks who buy those cigars in the Hotels do not care what they cost!!! Saw Michael Jordan spring for about 1500 bucks worth of cigars at the MGM Grand last time I was in Vegas!

Havana Cigar Company in the Tropicana. They have a nice smoking room. They used to have a guy there who hand rolled cigars as well. Pricy but a good selection at the time I went there a few years ago.

Yes, you will not find any bargains at the hotels. One exception is the Orleans on West Tropicana. They don't have a large selection, but the prices are great. For a good selection off the strip, try the Havana Cigar Company on Paradise/Flamingo area. Also the Frey Brothers who have many cigar stores in the hotels (Rio, Harrahs, New York, New York, Monte Carlo, etc.) have their own shop called the Cigar Box, near the Palace Station. Good selection, OK prices. There are also several Tinder Box locations in town. Just look in the Yellow Pages for the exact address. Good luck.
