how did i reach this point in my life?

is there an anti-bid patch.

when does cigar bidders anonymous meet?

what is good to clean the monitor so i can see it?

I am in the same boat with you Rick. The UPS man has made a stop at my house every week for the past 2 months. This week I challenged myself to see if I could
go at least 1 week without bidding. I was doing good until today. We're in the middle of getting blasted with a Nor'ester that could potentially drop 2 foot of snow here in Jersey. I resisted as much as possible until I started hearing the voices ... "IF YOU BID IT , HE WILL COME". I was drawn to the computer like a moth to a flame. "Hey Jack you can just look and not bid , it's not a problem!" Yeah Right!! It's like asking a recovering alcoholic to just go browse in his local discount liquor superstore. I now have three active bids going and looking for more. All I can hope for is that I get outbid.
So Rick, yes you do have a problem as do I and I assume many others on this site. I don't have a clue how to stop. Even if we joined Cigars Anonymous , the thought that somebody else was sucking up even greater
bargains without us there to keep them in check would
be too much to bear! Maybe hypnosis or such could help but we need to find a cure SOON!!

Rick ... below, find the answer to your monitor cleaning question ... as for thosecigars .... just smoke 'em ... normally I might suggest changing your "ship to" address, but I'm not too crazy about Bad Frogs

Care and Cleaning of Your Monitor

Preventive maintenance for a monitor is pretty simple - just keep the case clean and free of obstructions. Clean the CRT screen with a soft cloth just dampened with water and mild detergent or isopropyl alcohol. This will avoid damage to normal as well as antireflection coated glass. DO NOT use anything so wet that liquid may seep inside of the monitor around the edge of the CRT. You could end up with a very expensive repair bill when the liquid decides to short out the main circuit board lurking just below. Then dry thoroughly. Use the CRT sprays sold in computer stores if you
like but again, make sure none can seep inside. If you have not cleaned the screen for quite a while, you will be amazed at the amount of black grime that collects due to the static buildup from the CRT high voltage supply.

In really dusty situations, periodically vacuuming inside the case and the use of contact cleaner for the controls might be a good idea but realistically, you will not do this so don't worry about it.

600 cigars? Sounds like a lot but hey, that should last you two or three weeks.

bigjordo, you dont know what you are possibly getting yourself into here. Rick is very well known for his questionable politicle views, as well as his choice of smokes.

pardon me for thread jacking. i have a 28" or something about that size that's only 4 years old. when i turn it on, most of the time the picture shrinks to about 2 inches on the horizontal. if i wack the side of the set, the picture jumps to full screen and then goes back to the 2". if i leave it on for an hour or so the picture fills the screen.

loose wire or ?

I think I've figured out the CB/CI addiction. It's the damn shipping. You buy one lot of 5 bucks worth, and then figure, 'well, hell, 5 bucks isn't worth spending 4 bucks on shipping...I'd better buy some more.'

I tell ya, it's one of them vicious circles. It's some kind of devilment.

I have been bid free since late november. (Now I've still made a few singles purchases in the local shops.)

It's not so much "self control" as it is lack of funds. I depend on Cigarbid so much, I can't risk them getting an "over the limit" notice from my credit card co.! Don't want to cutoff my lifeline!

join the Republican party. You will find it harder to get money out of your pocket.

I've kept it under control lately. I haven't heard the words "Here's another frigging yellow box for you!!" In a long time. That's what cured me.
