Left-wing actor Martin Sheen is on TV urging his fellow appeasement activists to
harass the White House and Senate with a bombardment of phone, fax and e-mail
messages. Now it's time to see if Sheen and his ilk can take what they dish out.

Sheen's front group pompously, hilariously calls itself "Artists [sic] United to
Win Without War." Its co-chairmen are has-been TV "artist" Mike Farrell
([email protected]) and Robert Greenwald. ([email protected])
Its executive director is Kate McArdle. ([email protected]) Phone:
1-310-204-2581. Be sure to tell the "artists" what you think of them.

More contact information for "Win Without War": Phone 1-202-478-3429, or e-mail
[email protected].

Why not e-mail the "artist" Sheen at "The West Wing"? To really get his
attention, send him a PriorityGram. ([email protected])

One question to ask Marty: If a war with Iraq really would be about oil, as he
claims, why wouldn't he support that ... to heat his multiple mansions?

If you wish to avoid the Tinseltown fodder of the mostly has-been and never-was
"artists" involved in Sheen's group, here they are:

Gillian Anderson, Edward Asner, Rene Auberjonois, David (who?) Bale, Kim
Basinger, Ed Begley Jr., Theo Bikel, Barbara Bosson, Jackson Browne, Peter Beck
of REM, Diahann Carroll, Kathleen Chalfant, Don Cheadle, Jill Clayburgh, David
(who?) Clennon, Jack (who?) Coleman, Peter Coyote, Lindsay Crouse, Suzanne
(who?) Cryer, Matt Damon, Dana (who?) Daurey, Vincent D'Onofrio, David Duchovny,
Olympia Dukakis, Charles S. Dutton, Hector Elizondo, Cary Elwes, Shelley
Fabaras, Mia Farrow, Laurence Fishburne, Sean Patrick Flanery, Bonnie Franklin
(she's still alive?), John (who?) Fugelsang, Janeane Garofalo, Larry Gelbart,
Melissa Gilbert, Danny Glover, Elliott Gould, Samaria (who?) Graham, Robert
Guillaume, Paul (who?) Haggis, Robert David (who?) Hall, Ethan Hawke, Ron Howard
(oh, Opie!), Helen Hunt, Anjelica Huston, LaTanya Richardson (who?) Jackson,
Samuel L. Jackson; Jane Kaczmarek, Melina Kanakaredes, Casey Kasem, Mimi
Kennedy, Jessica "I hate Bush" Lange, Tea Leoni, Wendie Malick, Camryn Manheim,
Marsha Mason, Richard Masur, Dave Mathews, Kent McCord, Robert Duncan (who?)
McNeill, Mike Mills of REM, Janel (who?) Moloney, Esai
Morales, Ed O'Neill, Chris Noth, Peter (who?) Onorati, Alexandra Paul, Seth
(who?) Peterson, CCH Pounder, David Rabe, Alan Rachins, Bonnie Raitt, Carl
Reiner, Tim Robbins, Mitch Ryan, Susan Sarandon, Tony Shalhoub, William
Schallert, Armin Shimerman, Gloria Steinem, Marcia
Strassman, Michael Stipe, Susan Sullivan, Loretta Swit (still breathing), Studs
Terkel, Lily Tomlin, Blair Underwood, Dennis Weaver, Bradley Whitford, James
Whitmore, James Whitmore Jr., Alfre Woodard, Noah Wyle, Peter Yarrow, Howard
(who?) Zinn.

Curious, but we don't recall these "celebrities" opposing Bill Clinton's deadly
military disasters in the Balkans and Somalia.

I take it none of these bright, shining lights of freedom and democracy will be entertaining our troops! Maybe they will go on an entertainment trip to Iraq and run (retreat) and give the Iraqiis hand jobs and whatever else kind of comfort they need!

The trouble with Marty Sheen is that he actually believes he is President and gets into the role in his daily life! What a jerk off!

Support the actors and celebrities who are not on this list such as Arnold, Clint, James Woods, Stephen Lang, etc!

The Hollywood Has Beens are also carrying on their illoustrious listing many never weres!

has-been and never-was "artists" involved in Sheen's group.

other then the never was should read never were, you have raised a compelling argument for your side of the aisle. i most certainly will check these people's current movie, tv, and recordings, to see if they qualify as any or all of those things i quoted from you. i don't want some lousy singer to support the anti-war movement. i don't want to be associated with riff-raff.

That list of has beens is not as impressive as you may think, Rick!

Go march for your rights in Iraq!

You should stick to hummingbirds and other nice subjects!

no charlie, i should and do and will stick to my ideas and remain anti this invented need to go to war.

donutboy2000

anti war unless it is the last option and we are threatened. and i don't believe those loony toons running this country have anything in mind except another crusade. i think the last ones were in the 14th century, and the kings did exactly the same thing shrub is doing now, pointing to the east and saying, go men, i'll be watching you through very strong binoculars.

I have no problem with many of you disagreeing with the various celebrities that have spoken their piece. Your opinion, welcome to it. But why shouldn't they speak? If the press showed up everytime you expressed your views would you tell them to go away? Or would you use the platform to sway people to share your beliefs? I don't agree with everything THEY say. But I am troubled by how angry some people are that they say anything at all.

I think you're really close to the point, but factor in that we NEVER get to have our voices heard by the masses as do the actors. They have the advantage of being able to have the media at their beck and call.
And with that ability, they can say anything they wish. I think that lends to the anger or resentment that you hear from the regular people.

Jimmy Carter facilitated the 'retirement' of the Shah of Iran and wahat followed was disastrous. I hope that the demise of the brutal Hussein will not be followed by different but equally brutal and respressive Ayatollah rule.

Wouldn't it be something if there was an Anti War Propaganda going on somewhere. Where 100,000 people show'd up Celeberties and the whole 9 yards.. and not one Comentator or news broadcast show'd up to broadcast it??? man Only If!!!!!!!

then they would start screaming there rights were violated because of the fact that this happened LMAO!!!!!

If Iraq was illegally copying thier movies on DVD they'd be the first in line to push the button.
These buffoons are looking for attention.
Don't give it to them.

We create these stars and the media gives us what we want, seeing and hearing about every mundane detail about their lives. Then when they actually say something that isn't just about them or their latest movie or song we bitch and moan and call them names. We can't have it both ways so if you disagree with them then say so by expressing your beliefs in your own ways, otherwise quit your f'ing whining about the celebrities and maybe the media will stop showing it....

It's more than that, Chris.
These so-called celebrities are their own worst enemies.
They cry that they have no private life. Then they announce their personal beliefs to the world, as if they are learned on the subject.
You and I and most on this board can feel important by doing "everyday" things: Raising a family, helping those in need, smiling at a stranger. We do it without fanfare.
These dim-witted media hogs NEED the spotlight to feel important. They feel insignificant without it.
And perhaps they are right...

I agree with you tailgater, but we create them and their need for fanfare. People with money and power like these celebs can't get enough...

Some of them are quite intelligent though, and it makes me laugh that all of you can talk **** about how moronic they are and then not admit the same for GWB..

Acting is what one does when they can't make it in the real world. They live a life of drugs and infidelity.
They are so out of touch with reality that their "opinions" on everyday matters don't mean anything to Joe-America.
Some may be intelligent, but that doesn't make them "experts" by any stretch.
I don't see the connection to Dubya's perceived IQ?
He may not be the guy I call with my life-line on "Who wants to be a millionaire", but his ability to choose the proper people in key positions around him makes him very smart in my book.
A manager is only as good as the people he surrounds himself with. That's true in any business larger than a mom and pop shop.

i believe you have that backwards. he was the chosen one to market the ideas of the people around him with their agendas.

he's a nice looking fellow, it helps to spend a couple of thousand bucks for a suit, he has been taught to speak in short phrases, he really believes he is important, and i doubt that he argues much with his handlers because he has no original thoughts.

all in all a good pr man.

if he is not smart enough for you to want to use him as a "lifeline", why do you accept him as a life line to decide anything that has any effect on the country.

I knew you'd pick on that one.
Re-read my post. A good manager surrounds himself.
Dubya has, and the end result is a strong White House.

Face it... they are pissed off because Dubya is in the White House instead of "I Invented The Internet" Bore and their invitations to stay in the Lincoln bedroom have dried up. I don't know what was more pathetic... Clinton wanting to live the "Hollywood Star" life or the "Celebrities" fawning all over him for their own self-promotion.
