Has anyone had any of these? I lean heavily toward full-bodied smokes and won a five pack but wanted to jump the gun a little bit to get some opinions. If I don't like them when they get in, they'll make it into a trade for sure.

Come dressed up real nice...cedar wrapped. Had the Gothic and was happy. Medium bodied with some spicy-wood notes. Good smoke.

I like em a lot,but I happen to like that flavor profile. A nice sharp peppery smoke of med-full body. X

I've smoked the Bengal and the Corona. Yes, very peppery and a wood-dry smoke. Tasty, even though I don't lean toward that flavor profile myself. Not bad at all, actually quite good. They are really well-constructed and pretty to look at.

My own opinion, and I know this sort of thing tends to be very particularistic, is that they smoke well at the higher end of humidity (72%). My opinion.

John,

Thanks to you I too have had the pleasure of smoking the Bengal. Awesome smoke. I agree "Whole-Heartedly" with your assessment.

Sonny_LSU and Andy - Great Assessments as well.

You will enjoy this one JD.

The Gothic is a very good smoke. Starts out medium and finishes with a kick. You won't be disappointed.

I got one of those 5 packs. 3 left. Both I smoked were excellent. I've had almost all the different CAO types, except Brazilias. The are all good. Including the new Extremes! Yum Yum Yum!!

Enjoy!!

Don't go Braz-less for much longer. You're really missing out! They're excellent.

Great cigar, I bought a box of gothics on faith and recommendations and got everything I was expecting and more. These are easily the best CAOs. All the above reviews are dead on, med-full body, smooth, peppery, and perfect construction. My only addition would be the creamy flavors I noticed. These are now in permanent rotation!!

I forgot to mention that I had the gothic with a glass of Knob Creek, great pairing!! The sweet floral carmel flavors of the bourbon brought some incredible flavors out of the CAO.

Try the combo and let me know your thoughts...

The CAO Blacks have tasted good with everything I have had with them,Scotch,Cognac,Rum and Tequilla. I'll have to try one with some Maker's Mark I have. X
