Hello all - time to bite the bullet and upgrade. Going for a 200 - 300 ct. humidor and wondering if anyone's using one found here on CBid; i.e. the Havana Foot Locker or any of the freestanding humi's with legs. Please give your opinions and thanks! You can email me directly if you have something particularly negative to say and don't want to post it here. [email protected]

best,

I have the Magnum (250 ct?) style and it's been fine. Keeps the humidity right on, tight lid, would like the drawers to be a little bigger or eliminated all together. Not deep enough to store what I would like.
I would bid what you think is fair, but I wouldn't pay the $299 or whatever they're going for on CI.

$.02 worth

Do you want to display your smokes or just store them?
If to just store them, then build a coolerdor or rubbermaidador and save your money for some premium sticks.

is correct. alternative, use a plastic sweaterbox available at the same discount store that has cooler chests.

jd1 what means "building a coolerdor?" i just put my boxes in the cooler chest with the home made humidifier and close the lid. what am i supposed to build?

I got the Sterling 150 display humidor. Not as well built as some of my other humis, but for what I paid (less than half the catalog price) I have no complaints.

It holds the humidity well, looks pretty good, and displays my smokes in a pleasing manner. I could have done a lot worse. (]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]~~~~

Absolutely Rick on the "building of the coolerdor." As simple as you put it. Put the boxes in there, slice up some OASIS foam, PG, water. Piece of chocolate.

Eggman...I have the RyJ presentation Humidor. It has 8 drawers, each holds about a box of cigars, and has 2 glass doors. It doesn't come with any hygrometer or humidifier but I use a couple of homemade ones in it and it does great. My wife even made me put it in the living room as it is really nice looking.

A bit pricey but I wanted something to display and still have a pretty good capacity. I have several large humidors and cooleradors for my bulk storage...69

In reference to something being easy, hence "piece of cake" I prefer chocolate so the change!
