Okay, I've got another trade idea. I'm looking for some creative items to trade cigars for. I have much to trade and I usually throw in some extras. This may help. I am 40, 5'11", waist - 33, 42" chest. As you know I like to golf. I also like to cook, eat, drink good booze, listen to music (mostly alternative, new age, jazz fusion, classic rock, folk rock, etc.), read, exercise, bike, play PS2, etc. Okay this is too much information, but it may help. Don't limit yourselves to only these things. Come up with some goodies to entice a trade and I will come up with the sticks. [email protected]

Okay, boys and girls (E-Chick & Kathy) I am getting creative.

How about "Real" German Bier for some smokes?

Email me if you are interested.

Regards,

B

smithbw --- is this a prospective trade that you are thinking of conducting with Hokie (he did say he linkes what your are offering) ...

...or is this just a blantant 'thread-jack', an attemt to take over his post???

If it is ... why couldn't you have made a few extra keystrokes, and started your own thread ... rather than take over Hokies trade request with your own?

If I have missed something here ... I apologize. If not, your rudeness escapes me.

Slimboli - Just replying to Hokies post with a trade proprosal and few extra key strokes to kind of spice up my response.

... thanks for clarifing that for me.

There was no personal slam intended, it's just that I've seen a lot of this going on (not as much here, but on other forums as well) ... and it can really get confusing to both parties as to who is trading what to whom.

You showed your class and true character by how you handled your response ... and thanks for not taking offense!

Hokie,
When you say good booze?? Are you a scotch drinker???? Bourbon????? Irish whiskey????? Or triple run moonshine???? I live in the ozarks, where moonshine is considered good booze.

Slimboli,

Not a problem - my friend - just trying to treat the brothers on this board the way that I like to be treated, with dignity and respect.

BTW - Hokiebama - my offer is still open - German Bier for smokes.

LMK - Regards,

B

Homebrew, I am from Tennessee where moonshine is served at communion!!!! We used to drink charred shine and shine with peaches soaking inside and chase it with good old fashion sweet iced tea. I am partial to bourbon, dark rum, vodka, gin, and tequila. I'm open to any of those (including the shine!). Man I sound like a boozer.

If you are ready to dig into the humidor, I have some OPUS X to trade - I have double coronas and I have the size smaller than fuente fuente - it is in the cedar wrapper - all aged 12-18mo. I am looking for those cigars you have been hiding, or Crown Royal memorabilia - Is that creative?

Most creative, and out of my league. I do not have any Crown Royal gear (I'm not a blended whiskey man) to trade but I do have several stick to offer. I am wondering what cigars are you looking for? Also, I am probably the only one on this board that is NOT impressed with the Opus X. I have smoked 5 and all have been poor quality (cannot keep lit, bitter taste, etc.). I actually traded about 18 others away so far (kept ~6 just in case). What else????

I am truly sorry to hear that about OPUS for you. I guess it depends on where you got it and if it was counterfeit etc. I have bought about 4 boxes total of different sizes and never had a bad smoke. The only thing I would note is that the large size - DC kicks my tail. It is as strong a cigar as any I have ever had(quite a few in my 10 yrs smoking) smooth but strong. By contrast the smaller sizes are as smooth and delightful to smoke as any I have had. Sorry your experieince hasnt been great - maybe one of these days I will catch you in a trade and slip on of these in - cant let you have a bad fuente experience

Hokster, somebody may have pulled a hoax on you! Opus are over priced AND over hyped, but they are fine fine smokes. They are on the full bodied side, but they are fine.
