Have any of you had the Gurkha Regent series? I just had to try them. The description was so good, I couldnt resist! I won a 10 pack for $28. On the CI site they go for $39. Any reviews or comments?

Here is the descripton:

Working in conjunction with the Torano family, the people behind Gurkha cigars are putting out some magnificent smokes. The latest - the Gurkha Regent series - is a limited, extensively aged super-premium with stunning wrappers and gorgeous, vibrant artwork. These milky smooth Honduran premiums, with their dark Habana 2000 wrappers and silken feel, deliver a medley of toasty, medium-bodied flavors.

i ahven't had a chance to try them yet. They are priced up there with the AVOs and CAOs near me and I have a hard time passing those up over for a Gerkha.

Let me know what you think of them when you get them. I'd be real interested to see what you think of them.

I've only had the Gurkha Robustos (not Regent). The ones from a 5-pack had a harsh, nasty bite - maybe needs to hybernate a while. Also had one from a sampler pack that had great flavor and smoked beautifully about half way, then got ugly. For me the jury is still out on Gurkha.

it was in reference to Hoggie's post. He was concerned about buying when he could buy CAOs or others. I was pointing at the trade board :-) there's a wealth of folks out there with a wealth of sticks who like to trade. I like to buy boxes too or at least 5 packs, but if you don't want to buy, you can ALWAYS trade to try different things. I've just been introduced to this concept and I find it fascinating.
