Hey all, I've been lurking here and bidding frequently for some time now and finally decided to ask a question.
Has anyone had any experience with the recent batch of Roly seconds? I know that when they're on they are terrific but I've been burned on them in the past by the notorious tight roll (or plugged). Can't stand that. Anyone.....?

If you've been burned by them put the other end in your mouth.

Latest Roly purchases have been the Cazadores natural and #4 maduro. I decided both needed some humidor time so I have only smoked a couple. Put a little age on these and they are one of the best mix filled smokes out there, IMHO.

In the past, when I had plugged cigars, I would put the smallest drill bit I could find in the old Dremel tool, and just drill a hole in that sucker (no pun intended). Works pretty good if the plug is within reach of the bit. This method usually works better on long fill, but it will bust a Roly plug any day!

If you try this, THINK SAFETY! Always remember where your fingers and the drill bit are.

And tell 'em Mr. Vance sends his regards. (]]]]]]]]]]]~~~~

letting a tight smoke slowly dry out in an empty cigar box outside a humidor for a couple days will often help. ive noticed a sort of tight roll on a number of reyes products, though.

I bought a bundle of #4 maduros and they were a little rough new, but after several months they were a surprisingly good smoke. Well worth it if you can wait. I agree with the humidity contributing to a tight draw, but I did not have one plugged in my bundle
