Word has it here (Baton Rouge) that the owner of my favorite humi and Don Carlos of Arturo Fuente are re-opening a 5-star restaurant that recently closed. Of course things will be different.....it will be a full-scale cigar restaurant, but can you imagine the cigar stock?!?!

Hey Sonny,
Let me know when it opens. I will try and make it down to visit. It will give me an excuse to come back to my old stompin grounds.

P.S. I miss the Highland coffee house. And whatever that bar was across from it. You know the one, with all the beer specials. Yeah the reason I flunked my first year of college.

....The Chimes.....it has gotten huge. The next door bar that was there was bought and The Chimes was expanded. It is so much nicer now, but I do still have a soft spot for the old place. The Bayou on Chimes Street burned down though. When were you here, Homebrew?

I was there 91-92,
My girlfriend worked at Chelseas', and was always pissed off that I was at Chimes, instead of Chelseas.
Those were great times. Then I had to change schools. Bummer
I always missed LSU.
