I did a Google search ... and the only place they showed up was at CB (heck, you can't even find them at CI online). I also couldn't even find any info on them ...

What that possibly means ... is that it was just another one of the tail-end 'cigar boom' lines that bit the dust, and they are just selling out the remaining inventory.

Personally ... I never did like that many (if any) of Felipe Gregorio's lines of cigars. I would be wary of his so called 'higher-end, super-pricy cigar', although this one might turn out to be his only 'good' cigar!

I would appreciate both of your feedbacks on this one ... so keep us all posted.

Slim,

I did a Google too before posting. (didn't want to get ___ slapped !!) LOL

I only saw them on CB. I have had a Petrus cigar a while back and I think it was OK.

I'll let you know after smoking one...

There's a short mention of the Petrus Fortus Anejo in the November issue of Smokeshop magazine. Here's short quote:

"The Petrus Fortus Añejo by Felipe Gregorio is a blend of aged Dominican Piloto Cubana and Brazilian Mata Fina tobaccos, finished with a dark Cameroon wrapper. They are described as “subtle” in strength with a “rich, long-lasting taste,” and are available in three sizes: Añejo 1 (7 x 48) at $16 retail, Añejo 2 (6 x 54) at $15 retail, and Añejo 3 (53/4 x 46) at $14 retail."

These are definitely a high-end cigar that was only marketed through small boutique shops.

What I find a little confusing is that the Don Melo Centenario, a very high end limited-edition cigar, with a wrapper of shade-grown Connecticut/Cuban-seed hybrid tobacco was made by Phil Wynne (Felipe Gregorio) but is now listed as a brand owned and manufactured by Altadis.

Thanks Steve,

The description on CB says #1 but lists the 5-3/4 x 46 size... Do you know which it is on CB ??

I guess $15 for the 5 pack ain't too bad, huh ?

Low

Hope they're not really DR's.

Truer words never spoken. We've all made the great buy, only to discover that the price was right, but the cigar was wrong.

Anyone wanna split the box?

Won a 5 pack and smoked two of these shortly after receiving them. Good flavor, medium body. A great value at $3 cigar. Don't think they would rate too high at the suggested retail of $14 however. Won a box about two weeks later. Stangely, the box is a generic white wood box, with no mention of the brand.
