Today I sent the following note to Customer Service:

Greetings One and All,

I have been receiving and distributing cigars to the deploying soldiers from the 1st Armor Divsion 2nd Brigade. Recently received a box of La Gloria Cubana’s from Ernesto himself and a signed picture of him for our troops.

Today, I received two boxes of Puro Indios along with a signed picture from Rolando Reyes.

I was wondering if CI would like to make a donation to our deploying Warriors.

Please do not consider this as a ploy to gain personal smokes for my collection. Nor should anyone consider this request as mandatory. Please advise me of your decision.

Here is their response:

Hello B,

Cigars International would be more than happy to offer a donation towards our brave troops to show our appreciation. A box of American Pride cigars have been shipped to you via Priority Mail. You will be seeing this package relatively soon.

Again, we appreciate your efforts, as well as your continued interest in CigarBid / Cigars International. We hope that you, and your fellow troops, return home safely and quickly.

Jim - Other Service Branches ???? I am not tracking please assist me in identifying other branches. =)

JK - I would like to point out that the Army is the oldest Branch (if that helps any) and this is probably why CI/Cbid is showing their support to them "First"! As it should be =)

Cbid will always be a class act in my book. The entire Cbid organization is the best there is. Period. Thank you wholeheartedly for your support of our men and women in the United States armed services. And thanks smithbw and all working hard to distribute our donated smokes to our military.

Im going to write to mercedes benz and ask them to donate a G55 to "replace a broken down humvee" in one of the marine divisions.
