Has a box coming for me. He has relatives who visit the Island and asked me today, hey are these any good? He was holding a piece of paper with the word "Robinia" scrolled on it! I said "YES!" ;-)

Vegas Robaina are superb smokes, all of them. The Unicos and Famosos...truly lovely. Senor Robaina has well-deserved fame as a grower, if these cigars are any indication. I was in Pinar del Rio just a couple weeks back, and asked a local farmer. He raved on and on about Sr. Robaina as a role model for Cuban tobacco farmers.

So, my point: you're buying some good stuff.

You know the vitola?

Weeeee! It's a fellow who reports to me. His wife is 1st gen Cuban from Miami. Her fam is still tied in over there. Their relatives go back and fourth. And when they do.... Well, good things happen! Interestingly enough, I was told it used to be easy to bring many boxes. And recently they've clamped down. Now they can only bring 1.

That's a great price, Robby. I get the Famosas for about $150 a box, but that includes some pretty outrageous shipping charges. Must be nice to have a mule, LMAO.
