Tonight I smoked a CAO Brazilia GO!, my 1st one. It was very good.

I later decided I better pick out a good smoke for my 2nd choice this evening. I thought that it should be of comparible quality, or I would be disapointed. I chose the Padron 5000.

Well, in my opinion, the Padron won the comparision.

Whats your favorite between Padron & CAO?

I really do like both brands VERY much. But in this comparision I prefered the Padron.

Lets take a vote.

For me, the Brazilia. No contest. I've never understood the popularity of padron.

If the Padron is a maduro, I'll take it. Both are good. The Padron has a wider range of flavor I find appealing.

I enjoy both of these cigars very much, they're a staple in my humidors. Had you asked me a month ago, I would have said the CAO as I had a bad experience with Padron a year or so ago. Now that you ask this after I tried Padron Maduros again for the first time, I would have to say the Padrons. I believe they have a bevy of flavors that just top the CAO Brazilias.

Jus my 2 cents worth...

I personally think the Brazilia is the better of the two. Padron has a great rep and their construction is consistantly good, but IMHO they have only a one dimensional flavor. To each his own. LG

Both are XLNT cigars. IF I had to choose between the two,I would have to take the Padron, but not by much. X

Padron 5000 Maddie is the winner "By Far"...I say this and base it upon complexity, draw, and burn!

At least in my honest opinion. =)

However, with that said, CAO Amazon is a better comparison to the Padron 5K Maddie! I think the Amazon has a more complex taste.

DAMN! now that's a tough choice....i think the padron IS one-dimensional, but i happen to love that dimension :-)

on the other hand, the Brazilia line is made by the ToraƱo family, is much more complex that the padron line IMO.

Dude, it's a toss-up; depends what kinda mood yer in, i guess.

as they say on the Rikki Lake show, "it's ALL good, girlfriend" (fingers snap in "Z" formation)

Padron wins for me, but the Gol is an excellent change of pace. I guess I smoke a Padron when I'm in the mood for a rich sweet Nicaraguan smoke and the Gol when I' in the mood for something stronger and a bit more complex.

Like who was sexier? Marilyn Monroe or Gina Lollabrigdida?

I happen to like CAO and Padron, but given the ultimate choice of one or the other, CAO Brazilas for me!

I am a huge Padron fan, but the Gol! has a special place in my heart. The only in the Brazilia line I'd put ahead of Padron. Difficult choice, but I vote Gol!

Vive la difference! (oops, a French phrase! sorry!...just kidding)

Well guys, so far Padron=9....CAO=7.

Turnberry, whats your vote, or are you just happy? Hehe!

groucho likes both equally, so I gave each 1 for him.

Robby, you posted twice, but never voted.???

What, me? Carry on without making a point? NEVER! Normally I prefer no Braz, but in this case, I'd like "points up high, hauling around". Braz for me.

I would have to go with Padron. Other than the moontrance, I never met a CAO that I did not like. However, I never met any Padron that I did not like. 2000, 3000, 5000, churchill, magnum, 1964, 1926- they are all good.
