Even though I'm a newbie at this, I've found that I'm a fan of the boxpressed cigar because it's chewable. I was wondering what your favorite types of box pressed cigars are. CA and Smoke have some good reviews but aren't complete. What are your opinions?

victor sinclair vintage box pressed for a good one. poderoza as a cheaper substitute. if you want some of the substitute to try, send me you snailer. if you have never seen a box press, i'll send you some pix. i think i am the only one around here that has an antique 15 shelf box press.

Chewable? I didn't read that did I? Oh well

Carlos Torano, Onyx Reserve are good box press cigars.

I do not eat them so I cannot say much for chewable.

If you are looking for a truly unique box press experience, then get some TRILOGY Native Cameroon - not only are these delicious examples of true Cameroon sticks - but that Triangular shape is "very different!"

Smoked my 1st Astral Talanga Valley Selection today. A very good cigar, I was impressed. It has the sharpest corners that I've seen on a cigar.

Chewable? Are we talking bubble gum cigars?

Kind of a broken record on these, but Mayorgas, Onyx Reserves and IT Super Fuertes are always good. The Mayorgas leave me feeling like I've been eating caramel. The Gurkha Regent is nice, and with time will probably be very nice (still very refined right out of the pack). I've got some Industrial Press Mass pyramids that look like folded up Japanese fans. I haven't tried them yet though.

As regards chewable, I mostly prefer the blue bubble gum cigar, but do enjoy an occasional pink one ...

Que, you are right on. Other boxes I like to chew :-)

1. Don Tom Dominican
2. Pan's and Pams
3. Genuine Counterfeit Cubans (which are actually perdomo's in disguise).
