My three and a half year old son showed what me what he learned in library school today. He stood straight and tall put his hand over his heart and recited the Pledge of Allegiance word for word.

What about the part where they say "1 nation, under God"? What do you think you would tell him if he asked you, "daddy? does God want us to help the Iraqi people?" I'm curious, what would you say?

Actually, Intel, that's truly fantastic!
My (soon to be) three year old can not yet recite anything that lengthy. You've got a smart one there!

I'll be happy when Garrett doesn't look like a bobble head doll! Can't wait to see him walk and talk. If there is any truth to Karma, he'll probably be liberal!

As far as does God want us to help the Iraqi people I would tell him absolutely, that God commands us to help all people when we can. Sometimes helping someone involves risk, and sometimes even killing and dying. The Bible clearly justifies killing or dying for your faith, your family and your country.

It'll make you proud. The 9/12/01, I was putting hanging the American flag up and my then almost three year old came outside and ask me what I was doing. I told him hanging the American Flag. He put his hand on his heart and recited the National Anthem. He had learned it in daycare for the 4th of July. The teacher for the 2 year olds at the daycare teaches them every year.
