LVH Fumas line imo. what are some other decent ones?

I don't really go for that mixed stuff but these were okay.

Perdomo Cuban Bullets were pretty good full bodied cigars. I think they are discontinued now though.

I haven't tried them yet, but a lot of people are raving about the RP Fumas. The fact that they recently went on a daily special at CI and sold out in a few hours should be some indication that they might be right.

Spirit of Cuba are decent smokes, especially at under $30 a bundle. I like the Corojo wrap ones best, followed by the Habano. They don't beat LVH though.

Has anybody tried The Spirit of Cuba by Alec Bradley?
For some reason it catches my attention but haven't tried it yet. i am a bit of an Alec Bradley HO. I think his stuff is very underated.

Yup, love the SOC's. The habano is medium with a light spice and a smooth aftertaste. The corojo is spicier and medium+. Wish c-bid carried them.

mixed filler? like a cigar with more than one kind of tobacco? aren't a LOT of cigars made this way?

Mixed filler = sandwich cigar = (usually) one long filler leaf + short fill trimmings.

thanks for the suggestions and reviews. how is the flor del Todo from RR sr.? It's dirty cheap but does it taste like dirt (I like earthy but dirt tasting is bad imo)

Sheeit, I almost forgot Fuente Curly Heads. Not a bad stick at around $2, I used to smoke alot of them.

I will second La Vieja Habana Fumas by Drew Estate. Very good for the money. Have not tried the current version, either the maduro or the corojo wrapper, but look forward to it.

I heard Roly's are pretty good so I bid and won a 10 pack. They should be in next week.

^ Didn't care for them at all...can get Partagas Mille Fleurs for the same $ or less....they seem to be far better IMHO.

This thread reminds me - are the LVH Early Years mixed filler smokes? I seem to be finding conflicting information on the various retail sites that sell them.

Drew Estate commented on a similar question in a prior thread. He specifically indicated that the Early Years were long filler, unlike the mixed filler La Vieja Habana Fumas.

I recently smoked two mixed filler over the last two weeks and was going to open this same thread!

LVH are some decent smokes. I didn't know they were called "fumas". They are not the leather patch or the early years, just simply La Vieja Habana.

Bahia B is also good. For some reason, all the Bahia's I smoke have a musty tendency to them, and these are no different. But they smoke great and taste good.

As for the Flor Del Todo??
I happen to like Puros Indios and other Rolando Reyes Senior products. After smoking a few of those, I think that "del Todo" means "sweepings".

Maybe I'm being too vague.
By "sweepings", I mean the cigar would be called Flor Sweepings.

Just to set the record straight:
When I say Flor Sweepings, I don't mean Flor as in Flower, I mean Flor as in Floor.

It's a play on words.

And by Floor Sweepings, I'm not talking about a floor filled with premium cut tobacco. I mean a floor covered in old, dingy, musty, crap.

thanks for the warning on flor del todo. I think I'll pass. Has anyone tried the nicaraguan cream sandwich cigar that pops up every now and then?

as for the burn problems. IMO, mixed fillers can burn variably because they contain both short and long leaf. then again, some long leaf cigars also have burn issues.

haven't tried it yet but wanted to know if you've tried AB white gold? not too bad especially for the price point can grab them for $25 a box

I agree, that's why I said they better be good. You can get a LOT of good stick at H*L*'s for $4 per or less by Kristoff, Oliva, Room 101, Alec Bradley, Perdomo, Sam Leccia, Crowned Heads, Aging Room, Camacho, Villiger, and so on. Spending $3.50 per on a fuma seems risky. Don't care that they're mixed filler as long as they taste good. And they NEVER have them on sale.
