Time for the collection to go
1. Author: csiegelsDate: Fri, 11/29/2019, 12:39PM EST
Hey guys, been away from the forum a while. I'm sure a bunch of you remember me from various trades, bets, poker games, racy discussions, cigar passes, and of course, the flooded basement/wet opus tragedy (I'm sure the picture if still floating around the forum somewhere).

Life changes, interests change, and its time for me to move on from cigars to my other hobbies ... beer making, homemade jerky & cooking!

Have a huge collection of cigars, from every day stuff, tatuaje, limited editions, aged CCs, to high end opus & fuente. Looking to get some help from someone to help me break the collection in to lots that have values at 50 or 100 bucks (or something like that), and send them out to the members here in exchange for donations, of half the package value, to local no-kill animal shelter I'm partial to, that's 100% run by donations and volunteers. I'll cover the shipping, I'm not looking for anything in exchange.

Firstly, I wanted to make sure this wasn't in violation of the forum rules. Secondly, since I've been out of the game so long, I'm looking for help to put the packages together and assign a fair value.

Thanks all!

Cheers!

Craig (csiegels)

Awesome cause! As an animal lover, I appreciate what you’re doing. I’ll take a few Opus Xs, I’ll make a donation to your shelter, and I’ll send you a 10-yr aged BHK52 so you can celebrate in the name of the animals this movement may/will save.

Hey Craig, good to hear all is well. Careful with the beer making hobby, it can go down a rabbit hole real fast, the nice catch is, usually there is a bottom line for how much you will spend on a setup short of buying a semi-automated setup with conicals and glycol...

Interested in the list when you get it together.

You’re ok with the rules since you’re donating the proceeds to a great cause.

I offloaded my collection a few years back due to health reasons. Now I have about 40 premiums from which pick from one every so often.

That said, I’d be interested in some Opus and Anjeo cigars.

Sorry to hear you're giving up the cigars,
but I wish you the best.
Wish I was ready to add to my stock.

I believe yours are not only aged,
but they carry a bit of your identity with them.

I wish you the best csiegels

Hey Craig, sorry to hear you are only stopping by for a short time. Always good to see a fog on here that was accepting and kind when I was the freshest of noobs. Hope all is well and looking forward to seeing the list of packages as well.

I have gone twice to a Mississippi no kill shelter to pick up a dog - I'm in Pennsylvania. I also sent them fans this summer and have paid the adoption fee for 5 dogs - I love your cause and I'm in at 100% of the value.

This is a triple win! We maybe get a chance at some cigars no longer made at the least, the critters get a helping hand and Csiegels will ship me some home brewed beer after I send my very sexy and convincing mooch pm! I have never bought a cat my entire life. All of our cats come from off the street or from a rescue. Right now I have 2 that I caught as kittens off the street and 1 from a rescue. I also donate to a local no kill shelter and I donate to a Vet in Gambia, Africa. He has a Youtube channel and is known for his video's treating Mango worms. For those that don't know, Mango worms bore into the skin and if left untreated can cover an animals entire body in just a few days. They have to be squeezed out by hand and leave behind a huge amount of damage. It's sickening, the attitude of the people who own the animals brought to him and he has no problem letting these people know exactly how he feel's about them.. Most lie and say they never noticed anything and most never come to pick their animal back up. He also run's a group that travel's around and catches strays that he treats and then re-homes. Fair warning though, these videos are very graphic and can be really upsetting to some people. Not all of the animals survive. After watching some of his video's I HAD to setup a monthly donation to help out. He moved to Gambia about 12 years ago hoping to make a difference and change people's attitudes towards their pets. If you watch some of his first videos and compare them to his latest videos you can hear how much it has changed him.

This is a link to one of his videos. Again fair warning. These videos can be extremely upsetting and in this particular video one of the two puppies does not make it. It had more weight in worms than it's own body weight. So if you watch and decide to help, keep that in mind. I'm not looking to upset anyone but this guy is doing an amazing job and needs all the help he can get. So, if you do decide to help out thank you and the critters of Gambia thank you. It always shocks me when I see the attitudes of other countries and cultures that can be so cruel to animals that will love you no matter what you do to them. I wish I believed in Hell sometimes so I could believe these people are going to get what they deserve....

WARNING! GRAPHIC CONTENT.

Coming soon...

Wow, this turns out to be much much more work than I thought.

Have the first 18 lots put together, just putting some value on them, then will post up the pics and donation link. A lot of the CC I have is pretty old and hard to put value on ... so I'm just going to put raffle tickets in each of the packages I send out, break the CC into 5ers and draw some winners once all the lots are spoken for.

and yes Celtic, there's some older stuff in there that you probably might not find out there anymore :)
