Well, in these guys case, if they will be sad when he doubles the rent. He'll be sad because all his non-trump-supporting tenants will leave and he will have no more income.
I would say the most he could get away with is about 10 to 15 percent. That's the number where he gets the last laugh, and the tenants get kicked into the ground just a bit deeper... the American way, always try to know your equilibrium point. |

We have three HUGE businesses in Orlando that are privately owned (hotel magnate, time share magnet and a large manufacturer) whose owners send their employees flyers and letters saying the same litany of horribles if their employees don't vote the right way. Makes the newspaper every year. Sad. |
