Box Packaging

I finally got around to breaking the seal on a box of LFD cigars I bought a month or two ago and was surprised to find two things that seemed very thoughtful.

1. There was an 8g 69% Boveda pouch in the factory sealed box underneath the first row of smokes.

2. Each row (it was a 5 cigars x 4 rows box) had a single cigar with the tail of the cello folded to the front instead of the rear to make it easier to get the first cigar in that row out. The first row had a little ribbon so the top row looked nice, but the lower 3 rows all had the forwarded-folded tail on one cigar.

Well played Mr. Gomez. Well played...

This is common practice. Buy many boxes?

I don't. I usually opt for 4 or 5 fivers (I have no real use for the actual box) instead. The handful of boxes I have received recently didn't have that done, so I thought it was unique. Guess not.

School me on lfd stogie. What’s hot what’s not?

I have air benders like em
I just don’t know enough to know what I’ve had vs what I want to try. The bands all look identical

I tried a petite La Nox and thought it was just OK, but the Double Ligero Maduro is right up my alley. Those are the only two I have tried so far...

I agree, all LFD bands look the same to me except the uniques like La Nox, Andalusian...

The air bender is good
Had another that was great but no clue what it was.
Chapter one was a hot mess but I’m fairly confident it should’ve been great My wrapper left me

La Volcada should be tried. Double ligero as mentioned is a good one.

I like La Nox. Only had in a toro though.

A fine box presentation is gratifying and adds a nice touch to the experience.

I remember buying a box of the RyJ Aniversarios when they first came out. I don't know about now, but then they came in a beautiful humidor box, highly lacquered, with Romeo & Julieta written in cursive (as I remember) on the top. I gave it to my mom to throw old pins and stuff in. She had it for a long time.

Have had la nox liked it as well. Not box worthy for me but a good smoke no less. I remember that label

I’ll have to try the double ligero and la volcado don’t think I’ve had those

Nicest box I have is this:

https://halfwheel.com/review-don-pepin-garcia-10th-anniversary/41238/

Bought a few coffins to be split amongst some CBidders and they ended up giving me the box. I had Janny Garcia sign it too. Use it to store bigger CCs and since it seals so well, hafta open it up every other month or so to let fresh air in.

I'm a fan of the Double Ligero Maduro. The Chiselito is a nice little smoke with some kick to it.

They're very good!

Haven't smoked one in a bit, need to dig one out.

I have the same box from the original release about 10 years ago. Still has a few coffins in it. Anybody want it?

Also have the original Master Blends box with art work from 2005.

https://halfwheel.com/review-oliva-master-blends-1-churchill/25047/

A couple of other very nice boxes are the original Torano Tribute (wood inlays) from 2004 and the original Fuente 858 Rosado box (50 count) from 2002 the first release of the Rosado.

"In 2002, Arturo Fuente produced a one time release in the extremely popular Arturo Fuente 858 blend with a rosado wrapper. There were only 87 boxes of 50 sent out to 29 retailers nationwide who won an Arturo Fuente contest. The Rosado wrapper was not a Fuente Fuente OpusX creation, but was actually grown by the Oliva family in Ecuador and is the leaf that lays right below the huge Ashton VSG “cloud grown” corona leafs." from Halfwheel

The Bob Seger song Feel Like a Number says that, but the opening to Iron Maiden's The Prisoner is just like Lee and Dkeage have quoted. Said opening taken from the British series of the same name
