...I wore those shoes yesterday as a matter of fact. First time in about 3 months. I wore them to a wine tasting in Ginza. I was hit on and picked up by a Television Newscaster from CNN Japan. What a gal. She liked my Prada shoes, they matched her green Prada thong she was wearing. Tonight I'll watch her on the news and remember how cute she looked tossing her hair all to and fro......

Adromi... Great pic!! Love the shoes, love the cigar, love the lady. I have a pair of Loui Vuitton Loafers that i wear a lot. I met up with some old highshcool buddies last weekend that i havent seen in a while, and i heard everything from "do the moon walk for us" "hey mike.. wheres your boyfriend" all sorts of crap. But who was hanging with the most beautiful girl at the end of the night.Me and my shoes!! haa ha Chicks dig shoes. Rock on man!! in fact.. buy another pair just for the hell of it!! haa haa

I see no problem with the footwear, but I DO see something else .... the not-so-funny thing about this post is that a year later, adroomi's comments about some of the "newer" players turning it into a crappy place to visit are more relevant than they were when he first posted them ...

This WAS a GREAT board for a few years, but sadly, it has devlolved into something almost unrecognizeable ...

There are a LOT of quality contributors who have left because the atmosphere has diminished so greatly and more are leaving all the time and a lot of others who contribute far less often ...

Your a lot more fashon savy than I am, Adroomi. I hate to see ya take a few months away... I realized in the last 2 days that it is much more meaningfull to not argue with you but instead get to know you and enjoy a new friend who looks at things differently than I do. It adds something to me, and you do add something to the boards.

I'm not fashion saavy Country.....it just goes with the territory. I think you know what I mean. I made that comment before. People just don't get it. I live and work in Tokyo (the most expensive city in the world, and one where people are expected to dress appropriately.). Blue jeans and a t-shirt simply don't cut it here except on weekends while you're out hiking or something. People wear suits to work, and men wear a tie when they go to dinner. "Casual" means slacks and a button down shirt, and most bars won't let you in the door without such. It's no different than say for example, Manhattan or somewhere like that. Yesterday I took that day off and went for a walk....I was in jeans, hiking boots, and a flannel shirt. Today I'll be in a shirt and tie. Tonight for drinks, probably in casual wear again. It's all about where you are. Unfortunately, some folks just can't seem to get it through their heads that a nice pair of driving shoes and a button down shirt "look" nice, and actually make them appear a bit "classier" than the average joe. Our (American's) culture however has evolved us into a group that only knows one style, and that is jeans and a t-shirt (plus baseball hat). We see anyone else that is wearing something different as an outcast and throw names at them and ridicule them for it. What can I say....I'm an outcast.

I have tried to bring some intellectual conversation into the room, and unfortunately it backfired. I only stirred up more hatred for outsiders and self love for ourselves. That's a shame. I should've known better.

It was interesting discussing some things with you however....once we were able to get past our own prejudice, we figured out that sometimes stimulating meaningful discussion actually is possible on a forum board. Unfortunately most of this board has turned into nothing more than I would expect to find on a board by "Maxim" or "Malboro." One would think that cigar smokers would have a bit more class, but I don't see it (I'll get flamed for that comment).

I'll be around. Oh, and I don't get to FL too often, but you never know.

By the way, Ryan, you offer alot more to the boards than just pics of Scotch and Whiskey, LOL.

We've never talked, or sparred, but it seems a little silly to ditch the boards because some guys are tired of your agenda. I will miss your posts.

I understand your points of view, and I agree with many of your opinions, but you must expect a little resistance and hostility when you start to attack , right or not, something as personal as our sense of country.

It seems to me that you have stirred the pot and are upset that instead of well spoken factual debate, you have inspired emotionally driven defensive responses. What did you expect??

I live in Southwestern PA, a primarily democratic region with a union legacy that is driving business from the area. I was brought up in a differently, and I used to like to run my mouth against the local attitudes. "used to" because I haven't been able to influence or change folks who have been brought up with an entirely different set of values.

Oh well...........I'll miss you.......and I think your shoes are OK.

Dude I have sparred with you plenty of times but the reason I do is because your comments are (quite a bit of the time anyway) easily seen as anti-American.
