Smoked a macanudo cru royale gifted by RMAN. Haven't really thoroughly enjoyed a macanudo before but this one was way different than I remember and very tasty. Thanks Rick. I'll be looking to pick some of these up.

Smoking a Camacho Connecticut from RMAN paired with sake I picked up in Kyoto a few years ago. Camacho is another brand that I've tried and not gotten much out of but this lighter smoke has a bit of surprise kick to it that I'm enjoying. Would have never picked this one out on my own and am glad you sent it. Thanks Rick!

How was it? The sake.

Just wondering since sake is generally best when it's fresh.

It's a little mellow, maybe a bit stale. Not quite two years old but since I'm not going back anytime soon I'm stretching it out lol. Picked it up from a small shop in arashiyama.

one of the good people in here sent me a Viaje Oro Reserva, aficionado (churchill). It prolly had a few years of age...truly delicious and unique flavors, unlike most other Viaje offerings.
I regret not logging it in my "trades" journal, so the sender won't get the much deserved credit...

Tat Porkchop, paired well with a couple of pours of Ardbeg Corryvreckan.

Many thanks Conan for this smoking experience.

The Porkchop to me is a smaller version of the J21 which is my favorite Tat.

Yesterday.............best cigar day for me, probably ever, thanks to Delta1.
Bolivar Beli after breakfast with coffee..........awesome, as usual.
Padron F75 after early dinner, with iced tea.....first 4 or 5 puffs, I was wondering what all the hype was about.
Heh heh..............but then, it got real good, real quick like...............and 1/2 inch or so into it, it just blossomed into a sublime smoke.
It was a beautiful day.
Many thanks again Al

Viaje ORO....thanks to this guy^^^
Wow!! Silky smooth is an understatement! A stellar cigar.
Thanks yet again Al..........got off work a little early.....figured why not....the days are getting longer fast up here in the great north west.

Edit. I do wish they (Viaje) would put a bit more info on their website though.........not much there dang it.
Been smoking this lovely Toro?........for almost 2 hours, still have 2 inches left, perfect burn, as in razor sharp, the whole way......never even a hint of any sort of intervention, of any kind, required.
One of the best constructed cigars I've ever smoked.

It's the churchill vitola, officially called the Viaje Oro Reserva Aficionado. Glad you liked it...much different than most of the strong Viaje pepper bombs...

MANY thanks to knokmdwn !

Ray stopped by mjtoal's house last night, for cheesesteaks and cigars, before heading to New Jersey for a bi-annual shooting tournament.
After greeting everyone, (Mike, Mike's brother Pat, Sweeney, and myself), Ray pulls out an un-opened box of Dirty Rats.
He said that he had read on the forum that some brothers think the LP's lose their "oomph" over the years, and since this box was from 2008 he thought he better open it and check it out. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT !
About halfway thru the cigar, Ray, in true BOTL fashion, says, "I'm not taking this box with me, so you guys can divvy them up amongst yourselves.
Good food, great cigars, and interesting conversation.
It's always a great time when Ray stops by.
Good luck at the tourney, brother !
