Back-in-the-day when I got the vinyl record, I was laying in my bed listening to “Talking Book” while reading the credits and saw Jeff’s name. Thought it was really cool but of course never knew the back story on how and why he was on the record. Was also pumped to see Buzzy Feiten’s name too. “Looking for Another Pure Love” with Jeff’s solo is actually my favorite song from the album. Years later I would learn more about the collaboration and why “Superstition” was on BBA’s album but don’t remember where I read it. Mighta been in Rolling Stone (…when it was a REAL informative publication…), mighta been on the Internet. Nonetheless it was a very cool thing. Saw BBA in 1973 and Jeff used his talk box to intro “Superstition”. |
