No, it is not. This is just some stupid, piss-a-way money, I got. Could have taken my wife to Las Vegas with it or the like, or she could blow it on a piece of jewelery in a heartbeat. This time it is my turn!!!

I am looking at pc and smaller size cigars due to pricing. Some are odd-ball sizes kinda like: 40-41 x 47/8 to 5.5 and some smaller format favorites. Just like two, maybe three more boxes. A total of just 100-125 cigars.

I am also looking for some stuff that is close to or ready to smoke, or smokes well early. Two won't give out box codes. Waiting on two more to see if they will.

Here ya go. Just saw this today:

PARTAGAS
2016 SERIE D NO. 4
4.88" x 50
Medium-full.
Spice, earth, oak,
cocoa
BOX 25 $900
Reg $1185
5117. Author: LeeBotDate: Mon, 11/6/2023, 7:13PM EST
I was going to pull the trigger on some Series D before all this jacked up pricing started, but I didn't because I shouldn't buy so many cigars, don't have room, they'll always be there, blah, blah, blah.

But I kept buying other stuff, and now I have non-buyer's regret for not buying some when they were more approachable.

Yerandy Gomez custom about a toro size.

Flag cap and closed foot encased in his usual Cuban news print. This one was much darker wrapper than usual with more tang about med+.

Box factory codes from like 2003 to present...

The only way box codes have any use is if you know of a code that has been especially good and are looking for that one. Codes used to be assigned by factory but haven't been for many years now. Date codes, different story.

Okay so how is everyone getting Cuban Cigars but me. What are the chances of getting caught driving back through customs at the Canadian American border in the upper Midwest states.

It has been quite a while since I tried one of these.
Juan Lopez Petite Corona. Box Code BRS Sep 13. Damn if they haven't finally hit their stride. Up until now, every one of these have become quite tannic, to the point of unenjoyable by the mid point. But this one has me burning my fingers.
Glad I stocked up on these, way back then.

Tonight I reached into my stash of damaged Cuban cigars, for a H. Upmann Sir Winston, with a damaged wrapper. The wrapper was split, at the foot. It still smoked great. I nubbed it. It was a very nice smoke. The only box of Sir Winstons I have, are from 2015. I normally would only smoke these, on my birthday, but since it was damaged, I went ahead.

I am glad I did.

In the pool jacuzzi this morning:

SIL-to be: Bolivar Coronas Junior. He loved it.
Me: ERDMCS- 2014. Outstanding. Smoth, a little spice, tobacco, honey(?) sweetness!

Both from a very generous CBID BOTL!

Second cigars of the day:

Future SIL: HdM Epi No.1- "Delicias the whole way through."

Me" 10+ year old H.Upp. Conn. No.1- Herbal, strong burnt tobacco and sweet. Tobacco taste was still to strong for the first 1/3 and I was getting ready to put it down, but then it settled down quickly at that point and the sweet, floral and lightly toasty tobacco prevailed. This cigar was stronger and not a smooth as I expected flavorwise given its age- I would love to revisit one at 15 years and 20 years as the strength for aging was there. Won't get these again despite my love of H. Upp.
