Why don't we have a thread especially for trading or wish PIB on only CC's?

🤔

Just finished my first CC - an aged Punch Punch

Started with a bit of a bite, but soon smoothed out to a velvety smoke.
Bready nutty deliciousness. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and loving the lingering flavors.

Thank you Steve02!!!

PLPC '16 cab RGE May smoking nicely now

PLPC '18 cab LGR Mar - have tried a few and found weird construction and some burn issues. These were given the freezer treatment (as always) upon arrival but found one so far with a beetle hole.

Nice way to kick it off. Punch Punch are among my favorite regular production Cubans.

Fortunately, they are exceptional even when fresh. I go through a few boxes a year. The last couple boxes have had fewer WOW surprises....but all still good.

14's-17's usually had two or three per box that had an extraordinary blast of caramel though the first third or half....nowadays, maybe one from every other box

Cross thread post. Cuz it was that good.
_______

Diplomaticos - Smooth. Mellow. Nutty. Bready. Delicious. Whoa.
Previously, every connie I’ve smoked had a bitterness on the back end.
What some refer to as a “lemon zest”. What I call just plain bitterness.

Not this, or the Punch Punch before it.
Like entering a different realm of cigar.
My 2nd Cuban. Amazing.

Thank you Steve02!
I am infinitely appreciative X02.

Playing tetris the other day and happened across a box of LFdC Asia Pasifico that I forgot I had....I figured after six years, they ought to be ready. I bought them becuase I heard they were nearly as good as LFdC UK, but cheaper. They were cheaper, yes....and excellent, though I don't think it came close to the UK from a couple years earlier.

_____

My CBud Appreciation Sundays continues with a Jose L Piedra CC thanks to Steve02.
A beautiful early afternoon first smoke of the day on an ideal (and rare) autumn day.

And as a bonus -
Makes me think of my excursions along the Piedra River in the San Juan Mountains of CO.

Thanks Steve. X 02

The tobacco is top rate in these and seems to have great potential with some age. This is a marca I have not had many of so I'm unsure of how much age is needed but one year is not nearly enough for my tastes. The one I just smoked had a sloppily applied three seam cap but construction looks very good on the rest of this box.

Went through three boxes of those this year. No age needed to make them enjoyable.
