I'm watching all
of the
wild, weird conspiracy movies
that Mr. Jones
recommended because they are
really his life
story.

And one about a grotto.

I watched all of Jessica Jones in November/December. Fantastic! Haven't seen The Flash or Arrow but plan on it during the 500 days of January. Daredevil was also fantastic. My holiday binge watching has been getting caught up on network TV that I tivo'd and fell behind.

I watched a bunch of insipid holiday movies on Netflix while wrapping presents though. I wish they have more of the classic holiday movies. :(

How to make a muderer. First season is about Steven Avery from Wisconsin.
Narcos, it's about Mexico's drug lord Pablo Escobar.
Hemlock Grove, vampires, werewolves, zombies and a mad scientist living in a town.
Watched the first episode of Hell on Wheels last night, looks like a Western.

May have to look into Netflix again... Verizon was giving me free HBO since I signed up (well beyond how long I was supposed to have it for free) and they finally caught up to me. d'oh!

Since I don't want to pay for it... I'll have to figure something else out. Game of Thrones is coming in April, but I can always watch that the next day on rainier.

If you want something completely different and can be open minded about it while it develops you might want to see "Hit and Miss" on Netflix . It's about a Vicious Hitman who wants to be a woman and ends up having to raise his kids after his wife gets killed. It's a 6 part series and is really interesting also "Black Mirrors " Netflix is really good and different. It's an Anthology series kinda like Twighlight Zone but more Modern and Graphic but a really interesting. It is British but not hard to Understand..

Also on Roku is a Channel called VID Angel where you can rent the latest movies fo only a buck and i highly recommend it. Watched "Pixels ", last night with the Grandsons and thought it was damned funny !

I also love Arrow... great show.
Currently we're watching "The Killing" on Netflix. It is excellent and some of the best dramatic TV acting that I've ever seen.

Started watching Making A Murderer. 30 miles from where I live.

I'm a fan of the police overal, but have had run ins with bad ones. The inept/crooked Manitowoc county cops have nothing on some of the experiences I've had further north. Chilling and real.

I was watching that too. Is it any surprise that people are are so narsacistic! We live in a world that preys on the weak.

You have to take it for what it is.

Remember they just dropped it like a hot potato. Netflix in their sheer wisdom bought it lock stock and barrel. They tied up the ends and delivered an ending that you were NEVER EVER going to see.

I highly rate that series.

I watched "George Gently" and like that a lot.

Give "Luther" a spin...if you haven't already. It's a short run but captivating.

NETFLIX:

"A Mr. Jones RECOMMEDNDATION" :

"The House Of Spirits"
1993

JEREMY IRONS
MERYL STREEP
GLENN CLOSE
ANTONIO BANDERAS
VINCENT GALLO
WINONA RYDER

set in "CHILE" S.A. during a half plus century
of civil unrest, Cou de'ta
& revolution . it follows one family's strife from nothing to great wealth and political power....
The Cou de'ta scenes are very realistic and the scenery is great....BUT....
IT WAS FILMED IN PORTUGAL AND DENMARK
for whatever reasons???

"a thumbs up"

They didn't spend any real time or effort interviewing her ex-boyfriend and even less on her roommate.

They "knew" he raped the girl that he didn't. They "knew" it was him "again" and didn't both investigating much else. The tampered evidence was Keystone Kopish. That still hasn't been explained. I'm only on episode 7.

+1 on the Killing, glad Netflix gave it an ending.

If you haven't watched it yet, Sense8.

If you can get over the gay chit (I know there's a bunch of homophobes in here), it's a crazy ass, entertaining show that's very different from other shows.

Being different is a very common trait for Netflix originals, makes their shows more entertaining than the cookie cutter chit the networks put out.

Showtime is offering a 30 day trial through Roku............Binged through season 5 of Homeland. If you haven't seen this its a must.......great series.Next we hit Season 2 of The Affair........pretty good show with a nice twist at the end you don't see coming.Gotta check it out some more.....we got 3 weeks before I drop it.Not enough on there to justify the $11 a month.

Lillyhammer.........did half of the first season and just couldn't suffer through any more.

I hear The Following has another season out.......maybe Amazon Prime, can't recall where I saw it.I might start it but if it doesn't improve from the last season........it'll be short lived at our house.

House of Cards new season soon. Can't wait on this one......great series.

Just picked up an Amazon Firestick with KODI pre installed.Still learning the KODI program but the content is absolutely amazing.Gonna get to watch my Patriots today in an out of area game that I would normally miss.Thank you KODI,Sportsdevil and vipbox.

Watching:
Hell On Wheels - great filming, sets, etc...but they are losing me a bit lately on the storytelling. We shall see.

Recently Enjoyed:
Breaking Bad - Brilliant.
The Flash - almost too campy but pretty well done and enjoyed the effects.
Daredevil - Gritty and a touch "realer" feeling than the other recent comic series imo

Gave up on:
the Arrow - I love comic book adaptations, but this is too high school for me in the personal interactions and the acting isn't wooing me. The gals are hot, though.
Mad Men - A gorgeous soap opera. Three seasons of work place tensions is all I could do. I get enough real life in real life, thanks.

Stupid, but moments of great sarcasm.

Very daunting. I didn't realize there were that many episodes per season.

It's a good show. I keep coming back. I thought to myself, let me start this episode and pause it until tomorrow, lol. I was wrong. I had to watch the whole episode because it had my interest peaked.
48. Author: dstiegerDate: Tue, 1/5/2016, 3:34PM EST
Didn't see it mentioned above....watch Peaky Blinders. As good as any mentioned here.

Narcos is well worth your time, but needs to actually be watched attentively because of all the subtitles.

Three episodes into Following. Wife and I looked at each other last night and decided at the same time that we've probably had enough. It is good and tense, but mostly depressing. Like watching Silence of the Lambs three nights in a row.

Not new by any means, but if you haven't watched it in last year or two, Firefly is always good even second or third or sixth time around.

Shana the wife and I would watch 5-6 episodes an evening.......we just couldn't take a break. On weekends we just took breaks for meals.3 weeks =70+ episodes I believe. Now I'm thinking of watching it again.Breaking Bad is that addictive.
