Olivia Gilberto - new
1. Author: chazboDate: Tue, 8/1/2017, 8:25PM EST
The Olivia family has released a new line of cigars. Gilberto will come in two different wrappers, a Connecticut "blanc" and a Sumatra "reserva". They will retail from $6-9 dollars each and come in boxes of 10.
If anyone wants to split a box of Sumatra in a Corana pm me.

A place that has some on sale don't have the corona's in the Sumatra wrapper but have the Churchill for $57 plus shipping
3. Author: chazboDate: Tue, 8/1/2017, 8:41PM EST
Found boxes of 20 with the Sumatra wrapper in the corona size for $94 plus shipping.
Also seen the at another site for $85 but they are on back ordered.
So if I get a couple guys to split a box hit me up.

I'd be interested in some, can do either a 5er or 10er depending on who else wants to get in on this.

no you don't...

"Buttery smooth of mitt and mouf. A singular zaftig vein catches the eye but not the char nor fingers. Heckuva even draw and burn-line. White pepper then black-some through the schnoz. Accompanying piquancies are a nutmeg/clove red melange."

that's literally how the review starts...

Aren't these from the Oliva Tobacco Company rather than the Oliva Cigar Company ?

Nope...... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliva_Cigar_Co.

Oliva Cigar Co. is not to be confused with the Oliva Tobacco Co. of Tampa, Florida, an important tobacco grower which supplies a number of leading brands, or with the long-established brand Oliveros.[2]

was at my local last week picking up a couple of smokes and the clerk handed me one of these Oliva Gilberto Reserva and told me to give it a try and let him know what I think next time I stop in......It's resting in the humi as we speak, gonna smoke it tomorrow. The price sticker on it was $6.50 for the Robusto.

Had 2 of the Sumatra, reminded me of a Flor De Oliva...if it was wrapped up in pendleton blanket to rest in for a year inside a cedar chest.

I finally set this Olivia Gilberto Reserva 650 on fire today. Very tasty full flavored medium strength smoke........I would definitely smoke more of these. Loaded with flavor, not quite the list dsteiger posted, but many transitions throughout the smoke. Very solid construction and great burn, very even with no relights or touchups, about a 2 hour smoke......ThumpUp

So Olivia has done very well again. That is good to know for sure. I have been holding off until I had heard back on what you thought. The end of the week I might try to get the wife to run me by the local B&M and pick up a couple. Ty for the update

I've smoked both the "Latitude Zero's" you included in the "spear prize" earlier this year, and I agree good budget cigar......I actually wound up picking up another 5ver, and at less than $2 per, they are hard to beat for the money........

I finally won a 5ver. The Connecticut wrapper. Will report back in a few weeks.
