A black man confessed to spraying a racist graffiti on his own car as a Halloween prank, Kansas police said on Monday.

Dauntarius Williams, 21, admitted to spraying the racist graffiti on his own car that featured racial slurs like “go home,” “date your own kind,” and “die,” the Riley County Police Department said. Authorities decided not to charge the man for filing a false report, saying it would “not be in the best interests of the citizens.”

The photographs of the vehicle covered in graffiti at an apartment complex near Kansas State University were posted last Wednesday. The picture prompted condemnation on social media and the school increased security. The FBI opened a civil rights investigation.

"While William's mistake had a decidedly negative impact on the community, please recognize that he, like many of us when we were young, is a young man who made a mistake and is now doing his best to own up to it," Brad Schoen, director of the police department, said.

He caused resources to be wasted, he should be accountable.

Not pressing charges is in the best interest of the citizens? That's some bullsh*t. It sets a bad precedent and sends the message, "File false reports... we don't care".

if it wasn't a college town, he'd be charged...lotta liberal softies in college towns who want to avoid "marking someone for life" over something juvenile and stupid. We had a "no charges policy" for small amounts of MJ and for drunk in public at the colleges I worked at...quite different from the way some nearby cities handled the very same circumstances...that's why I thought the criminalization of small amounts for personal consumption and the over-all War on Drugs was poorly thought out...and discrimanatory against the poor...

Was "HE" ...the juvenile 21 yr old...

High on CRACK?, ANGEL DUST?, OR WHIPPETS?

THE MAIN CLUES THAT CRACKED THE CASE:

1) EMPTY PAINT SPRAY CANS IN HIS TRASH CANS,
THE EXACT SAME COLORS
2) VIDEO OF HIM BUYING SPRAY PAINT FROM THE NOW LOCKED PAINT AREAS AT HIS LOCAL WAL-MART
3) THE WORDS WERE IN HIS OWN HANDWRITING STYLE
4) EXACT SAME SPRAY PAINT COLOR FOUND ON HIS
SHOES AND JEANS INSIDE HIS HUT

THIS KID IS A REAL GENIUS...

How nice....a 21 year old racist Black man gets a slap on the hand instead of the justice he so richly deserves.

Answer to Drafters opening Q....YES without a doubt. And likely would have thought himself quite clever for doing so.

I wouldn't put this on the same level. He actually caused 3 letter organizations to put manpower out searching for the culprit when they could have had the resources used for something legit.

This was not simply being drunk or stoned in public, this was wasting taxpayer dollars over a "look at me" prank/gag/lie/cryforhelp or what ever tf it was.

On Wednesday, the Post covered the academy’s investigation but noted “hate crime hoaxes” were rare, according to experts studying the subject.

“These hoaxes have become symbols for some who want to promote the idea that most hate crimes are hoaxes,” Brian Levin, the director for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University at San Bernardino told Talking Points Memo as reported by the Post. “That’s important to rectify.”

I wonder if Brian Levin can point to a side by side comparison of legit " hate crimes " vs those now made up to stir the racial hatred pot?

No Joe was just a sheriff duely elected many times by the people of Arizona to uphold the law. Which is exactly what got him in trouble with the Obama admin.

Most law abiding citizens in Arizona liked sheriff Joe (the reason why he got elected so many times).

DED is right, only reason he got in trouble is because he did his job anyway despite the unconstitutional executive order placed by Obama.

Everyone b1tches about how Trump is undoing everything Obama did, but most of what Obama did was bypass congress or push sh1t through... something along the lines of "we must pass this to find out what's in it" type shenanigans.

Anyway, I think sheriff Joe would still be sheriff if it wasn't for Obama's bs.
