Judge a freezer the same way you'd size a car trunk: How many bodies would it fit?

I've got a Gibson deep freezer I've had for probably 20 years. Not sure how long my wife's aunt and uncle had it before that. Still works like a champ. |

Imperials are commercial grade and generally last a long time. Not much to a freezer. If the price is right and it gets cold and stays there, you're prolly alright. Or you may get completely f*cked. |

Still works like a champ. we've had a G.E. upright for 40 years, still works great, but the shelf supports and stuff are broken (not GE's fault) so it's become less efficient to store stuff in now. for a couple hundred bucks I was thinking of snagging the Imperial if it is quality. |

DrafterX wrote:Interesting.. age would still be a factor.. but if he threw in a turkey I'd prolly go for it.. I'm starting to wonder if it's a commercial freezer that home food service companies gave or rented to customers who signed up for their monthly deliveries of frozen steaks and stuff. that makes it hard to determine the real original price. might pass, don't need it with just the two of us living here now, could get by with the GE, but was curious. |

The wife wants one too... I think we just need to eat what's already there before it gets burned. We've got a fridge in the garage that's mainly for drinks but the freezer holds foods... |

for a couple hundred bucks I was thinking of snagging the Imperial if it is quality. It's quality enough that the shelf supports and stuff aren't broken, so you should go for it. |

for a couple hundred bucks I was thinking of snagging the Imperial if it is quality. Get some epoxy or JBWeld and some aluminum angle iron and put some new shelf supports in that bad boy......it should work like a charm for short money |

Thunder.Gerbil wrote:It's quality enough that the shelf supports and stuff aren't broken, so you should go for it. that has been the cause of my curiosity. That dam GE has not cost me a nickle in repairs all these years, but between the broken molded plastic shelf support and the fact that it must be costing $30 month on the electric bill due to being vintage 1977... I might even be able to get $50 from the electric utility plus free removal. Thank you libs. not sure where the mugwucks and dead bodies and stuff fit in this thread, but if you think about it, isn't it always after midnight, except when it is midnight? |

"You're always gonna have problems lifting a body in one piece. Apparently the best thing to do is cut up a corpse into six pieces and pile it all together. And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig chit, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig." |

Frankie...
When considering any refrigerant appliance... A/C...fridge...freezer...
ONLY TWO RULES APPLY:
#1 BRAND NAME AND THE EXACT MODEL HISTORY
#2 YEAR OF MANUFACTURE !!! NEWER THE BETTER...MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT!!!
****SOME TV CABLE BOXES FROM TIME WARNER PULL AS MUCH WATTAGE AND AMPERAGE AS A NORMAL NEW REFRIGERATOR!!! NO SHIIT!! WATCH YOU TUBE... A GUY HAD ONE CABLE BOX COSTING HIM $39 A MONTH IN ELECTRICITY ON YOUTUBE!!!
ALWAYS check that yellow energy sticker on the back or research the model your looking at on the web..
*** after moving any A/C unit ,freezer or REFRIGERATOR !!! N.E.V.E.R. !!! and I mean NEVER plug the *****er in till 24 hours after it is totally in place...especially if it was stored on its side or tilted when moved!!!
I moved freezers for 6? Long Years... I AM AN EXPERT.. BELIEVE IT OR NOT..and I'm pretty sure that the same rules apply now as they did in 1985-91 |
