So at the 'Sip herf, I felt stupid with my little 15 count travel humidor, Tupperware container and bags full of cigars. So I am looking to get a 50-80 count. Any thoughts on the best place to get them?
I think the lowest I have seen was around $80.
I have heard that you can use the normal foam lined waterproof containers from places like Harbor Freight. They basically look the same, but don't have the cigar inserts. Thoughts on this option? I want to make sure I have sufficient room, but also a way to keep them safe from damage. Not sure how well you can do that without the cigar inserts. |

A pelican or skb style case, like what harbor freight is copying, works fine. Just leave the lid foam, lift the body foam out and stick it in a bag in the closet or garage if you ever decide to use the case for something else. Put your cigars in singles, 3s or 5 finger bags, toss a few empty bags in and call it good.
I did this for a long time with an old pelican case before getting tired of the bulky pelican case and switching to a Haliburton case and I'm still doing it with the Hali.
I'll send you a link for the best bags I've found. Tried many brands, only this one stands out to me. |

Hank, they have 40 counts up right now. QB is $39.99. Slightly smaller then what you wanted, but half the price. https://www.cigarbid.com...40-40-capacity/2852713/ I personally have a 50 count Xikar, and thought I did good paying $60 at auction. I would have been just as happen with the less expensive 40 count. David (dpnewell) |

I like the 40 count and I sometimes take it and 2 15 counts when I go on a trip. I picked up the 40 count on CBID for $ 13 when prices were better. I usually put a humidifier pack in each for the trip and the cigars seem to travel well. I also have a 10 and a couple of 5's, but I rarely use them unless I go somewhere for just a day. |

I have to stick with the 5 counters. As much as I would like to show up to the flight deck with 40 premiums, I only have room to carry the small guys in my flight kit. Plano makes a great water tight electronics case that you can easily fit 40-50 smokes in it for about 20$. Get it at your personal bill dance and Johnny Morris endorsed web page |

I use a circa 90s Ashton leather travel humi, cedar lined, excellent seal and lid lock. Holds 25 to 35 or so, depending on vitola. One of my prized cigar goodies that I got for $20, from the same guy who sold me my Ashton desktop. The desktop is nice, the travel humi is stellar. |

Not as big as you are looking for, but i think you would be very pleased with it. |
