Toothpicks, that's my best way to puff down to the nub on the good ones.

That's the only thing I do with my left hand

FTR . . . I also use a toothpick for the ones that are worth nubbing.

If I have my one lighter, it has a metal poker on the bottom. Works great.

I can tell you what DOESN’T work. Breaking off two of the outer tines on a plastic fork and the using the two middle ones to stab into the cigar. It worked effectively until I was done and pulled the fork out and the two melted tines came out followed by the long, stretchy plastic trails. Pretty sure I ingested some toxins from the melted plastic.

Live and learn.

You folk need to toughen up. I just hold on to it until there is next to nothing left. To hell with the pain and skin burns.

Alligator clip with these long funny feathers attached

Never thought of that😳

I got one of those perfecdraw brand tools. It works wonders on plugged cigars, and is damn good as a nubbing tool as well.

Mark!

Everyone who's ever had one of those seems to love them. Each time I see them mentioned or see one, I go online to buy one....and then find that I can never quite pull the trigger -- not that I can't afford it...just that a $35 ice pick sorta rattles my sensibilities...I know it's probably worth it -- would even pay for itself, likely....just can't do it so far

Go to a discount tool store and pick up a set of O-ring picks or a long 1/16 0r 1/8 drill bit for less than $5 bucks, and your golden...Herfing

LOL....I already got plenty of cheap stuff that doesn't work as well as a perfectdraw
17. Author: SunoverbeachDate: Tue, 3/19/2019, 6:23PM EST
I wrestled with that myself for a while but eventually went for it. The perfecdraw is pretty awesome. Normal pokers clear a path but then clog up again, assuming tar. This drills in and the barbs pull loose tobacco back out with it, leaving pathways clear. I've saved a lot of lousy smokes and possible cerebral hemorrhage

I'm not sponsored but if anyone knows the perfec people, I'd be willing to discuss it

If you're having problems doing your nub, roll your target in flour and hit the wet spots.

I use a retooled and reshaped large paper clip.
It’s da bomb.......and the price is tough to beat.

Tooth picks?
Almost as dumb as a plastic fork.
Really Stinger? There had to be beers involved...

I use a serrated bent nose pair of tweezers. Works like a charm.

Cant beat toothpicks. Price is right, they dont get hot and replacements are cheap. Poke it in close to the draw end and you can smoke to a tiny nub.

I had a guy tell me he breaks a good one up and packs a pipe. Anyone try? I would think it would mess with the flavor big time

I've taken the butt and stuck it into a cob to finish before.

Doesn't really work. The wrapper no longer burns with the filler, and it ghosts the pipe to hell. I had to toss it since it tasted of stale cigar anytime I tried to use it for pipe tobacco.

So underwhelming on the nub and a blown pipe. Check one experiment to skip
