I'll second coconut but love the flavor. Shrooms always bothered me too. Which is a shame since we had Morels pop up in the back yard for a couple years there

The description of it has been enough to steer me clear of it entirely... As soon as "gonads" is used in a Google "what is it", I declare it unfit for my consumption...

Hummis. and Matzo

Love everything else mentioned here. Liver and onions! YUM! Liver is SO tender! Fried Eggplant! Awesome.

Sorry to hear that. I was ready to send you a tray of my specialty - homemade Eggplant parmigiana.

Growing up I never knew texture was a reason to dislike food.

Enter my wife and now my kids. They each have near-phobias about certain foods based on texture.

Some I can understand. Tapioca pudding isn't far removed from a ball of phlegm, after all.

But the few foods I dislike are unrelated to texture.

I think odor is stronger indicator for my likes/dislikes.

I can't think of anything that I won't eat due to texture. My won't eats are due to flavor and scent which are related in that about 80% of scent makes up a large portion of flavor.

if the eggplant is soft enough to mash against the roof of my mouth without having to chew it, I can eat it. The flavor isn't the problem, I eat baba ganoush and similar mashed forms

In my entire life only two things have caused me to turn away due to texture alone...…..Vegemite(salty fookin mush) and Shiokara,I don't even know what part of the fish this was but it was the slimiest thing I have ever encountered.I spent the next two days trying to get the foul taste out of my mouth.
