Getting a cold or flu at 25: This sucks, but I'm fine.

Getting a cold or flu at 45: So this is it. This is how I'm going to die.

I got sick Dec 30.
Today is the first day that I can say I’m over 80%.
Might even have a cigar in a week or so....

But this was the worst flu/bronchitis crap I’ve had since a pneumonia I caught in 1988 that dang near killed me............some crap bug from France..........dang near killed three of us actually.

I am safe, one of the excellent points of being a confirmed bachelor. No one ever gives you the flu.

I used to get a cold or flu for weeks every winter. Three years ago I bought 2 humidifiers, and keep humidity levels at over 55% in the winter, as I read that cold and flu viruses have a hard time surviving in humidity levels over 50%. The two.last winters we didn't have as much as a sniffle. This year with the move, I had the humidifiers buried in storage, and allowed the humidity levels to get in the 20s. Sure enough I picked up some bug with congestion, fever and body aches (flu?). It only lasted 4 days and was mild. I contribute this to a enhanced immune system due to our current healthy diet and fasting. You better believe that as soon as I was feeling better, I dug those humidifiers out of storage.

I sure hope you feel better soon. Thoughts and prayers on the way.

Welcome back man.... But that vitamin C stuff's been debunked before.

I've used Vitamin C for years and it has helped a many a time for me. Not saying it will help with cornavirus but it's possible.

Get well soon, the real flu is a Mother F'er, fever and chills like malaria.

FWIW, I've had a flu shoot most years since then.

Children, especially grade school ages, are little cesspools of germs.

I will forever agree with you on this.

The other cesspool is airplanes. I have not had any ailment for the last 5-6 years except right after I took a plane. Flying petri dish.

I think he got a C - at least I heard a couple of people mention it.
