He's always been pro smoking in general

Seems he's been diagnosed with lung cancer

I don't listen to his show but wish him successful treatment and a speedy recovery

I used to listen to his show every morning with my father, as we carpooled to Corvallis back in the day. Gonna miss that guy, although I Always liked the Paul Harvey Rest Of The Story best.

Yeah, he's a huge Opus X guy. That's why I bought some of those years ago in my DE days. They were still a 8-9 dollar smoke at the time. I'm sad to say at the time I didn't like them and thought they were way too expensive.

I kick myself everyday now. Brick wall

Just another entertainer no more important than the nameless guy down the street with the same diagnosis but he gets my prayers. I sometimes question why this awful disease exists because no one deserves it. Get well Rush.

He was a cornerstone of the Bush administration (at least a major shaper/influencer of their policies), so he was more than an entertainer... best wishes for a speedy recovery...

I also was a big fan of the Paul Harvey, "And Now You Know -- The Rest of the Story" daily radio short feature...always tuned in on the car stereo during my lunch break...

You're getting your conspiracy theories mixed up, Darth aka, ****** Cheney was in charge of the Bush administration. RollEyes

Yea that’s an odd one. He’s just an entertainer. I used to listen to him all the time then got tired of the schtick. Some folks take it seriously and will never grow tired.

NBC ran the story last night and made sure the pic of him was with a big stogie sticking out of his mouth.

Poor VP Cheney, he got beat up for just working for at Halliburton. OTOH, Ladybird Johnson, LBJ's wife, owned much of the company when LBJ was President. While LBJ was pursuing the Vietnam war, Halliburton was there building all sorts of infrastructure. I'm sure it was just a coincidence and the Johnsons were as clean as fresh snow. [eyeroll]

true, but Limbaugh seemed to have an inside lane and shaped many of the Bush administration's daily public pronouncements...

During the Bush terms, Limbaugh's daily radio show, which aired before the WH briefings, contained most of the Bush WH talking points, and that Limbaugh would go into greater depth to sell those ideas...so, it's possible that someone fed Limbaugh very early every day, or also possible that the Bush WH used Limbaugh's rhetoric because he was the most trusted conservative voice in America...

I will take your word for it but I would not want to be around Cheney when a covey flushes.

One might get shot.

Back on point, hope Rush wins his battle.

God bless Rush Limbaugh.
Funeral for friend and workmate tomorrow who died of lung cancer but he inhaled the cheap stuff and never wore a mask in the most dangerous work environments.

That's akin to saying Bill Maher was the cornerstone of the Obama administration...…..sadly Bill is not an entertainer and the better part of him ran down his mama's leg.

Get Well Rush!!!

So Trump gets policy from Hannity and Bush got it from Rush.

It was the medal of freedom... but I agree with you. He's a radio shock jock. That isn't worthy, IMO.

Freudian slip. Was thinking congressional rather than presidential.

I wish they could be revoked. Pill Cosby comes to mind.

How is awarding the *Medal of Freedom* to Rush Limbaugh cheapening the *Medal of honor*? You people really didn't watch the state of the union and just jump at any chance to hate on Trump.

The medal of freedom was already cheapened by the Hollywood trash that Obama awareded it to whom I ever so much enjoy watch their mansions burn every year. Take the Christ out of Christmas, keep him in Christmas, I couldn't give a damn. It is always the most wonderful time of the year when California burns.

I don't know, it's gonna be pretty hard to beat how hard I beat off every time a liberal member of government or Hollywood dies. My member is still sore from my morning routine of jerking it to Robert De Niro getting his brains blown out at the end of Joker. But I am OK with my classless masturbatory fantasies.

I was actually reading up on cruise ship accidents and I was like "Who the hell commits suicide on a cruise ship?". Turns out they do it on the last day of the cruise. I got too many cigars to come home to for that crap.
36. Author: tonygrazDate: Thu, 2/6/2020, 1:04PM EST
Probably suicidal because of the weight gain forcing them to leave the ship in towels.

I am not sure if I would call it depression but it's a hell of a shock to get back from a cruise. They have you run around for a whole week with a plastic card that is free everything unless you go wild on it just to get off the boat and the only plastic card that works bankrupts you if you go wild with it.

Go from free beers and other drinks on the boat to 8 dollar beers at MIA airport.

As a life long Democrat...

I always listened to his afternoon radio show when driving around all day as a FOOD BROKER, FOOD SALESMEN,
AND OR MERCHANDISER...depending on the year or position at the time...

He ways always funny as hell and super sarcastic...
Sarcasm was his best virtue...
He changed my view on many subjects( like obamies & Bidens anti gun stances & anti 2nd admendment votes) but reinforced my own views vs. his on others ( like funding for the Arts and PBS)

He did several skits by some hired guy that had me rolling on the floor...funny as all get out..I wish I could remember them..he used to hire one guy to do these wild parodies and sarcastic skits...

Now he looks like the mere shadow of a human....
Strung out on OXY for back pain,...and DR. SHOPPING to multiple sources
For scripts , then getting stuff from drug dealers...he wasted his ear drums totally...had to get coloqueal head gear electric hearing implants...then the several wives thing, ...

Did he INHALE THE CIGAR SMOKE?
something tells me he did at one time...but then stopped?

Anyway, I wish him luck...
39. Author: delta1Date: Fri, 2/7/2020, 1:44PM EST
I listened to him occasionally, but was never totally on board with his views, like with Larry Elder...SoCal talk radio in the 90's and 00's was wall to wall conservatives...tuned him out when he interjected openly racist stuff when Obama was POTUS...
40. Author: BuckwheatDate: Fri, 2/7/2020, 3:17PM EST
I extend to him the same level of compassion that he extended to Michael J. Fox.

You know it's all just a ploy to get back on pain meds.
