Ok so I have a 100 count humidor with a electric humidifier and crystals for humidity. The fan causes about a 1% fluctuation between 68-69 humidity every 15 minutes. However whenever I pull a stick out of my own humidor they all tend to taste the same but when I go to my local cigar bar I have no problem with tasting notes and flavors. I’ve calibrated my hygrometers and they are all good to go. My box has been holding about 25 cigars so I’m upping that hoping it will stop some of the fluctuation and hold more steady but I’m not sure what is causing the lost oft taste. Do I just need to experiment with different humidities? Try 72% or 60%? Reseason the box even though it’s pretty steady. I’m starting to rotate my sticks more. I’m worried about ruining some really nice expensive cigars that I was gifted so I’m Just looking for some advice on other things to try |

Maybe that fan?? I'm totally guessing on that. I've got several 200-300 count coolerdors and tupperdors and never noticed anything like that. |

I usually throw a handful of these in my humidors room help preserve flavor, then sprinkle pink salt on top.

I linked to the humidor I have down below, the crystals came with it built into the box so I figured it wouldn’t hurt and I can throw boveda in there if I need to. With the electric humidicup humidifier though it seems to be keeping at right below 70%. You think the crystals are getting rid of the flavor? I’ve thought about trying the beads a lot of people use.
You sprinkle the salt on the nutmeg?
